2019 July – Keep Upgrading

July 2019 Journal Philsports Arena Prime Hotel

The month of July 2019 was mostly dedicated on learning how to swim. Though I wasn’t really able to attend most of my class, I think I have able to learn one of the most basic things a swimmer would need to know, which is to float. I truly enjoyed doing the survival class but felt a bit disappointed that I did not really master it after two sessions. Was I ready to go in the middle of the ocean? Will see.

Other activities includes different events and meetings. I also tried to reach out to friends and/or create new ones but felt the failure to have it overtime. I can consider July sort of preparation for the next few months to come. I was not really able to attain much in this month, and felt really down and alone most of the time. I guess it’s the struggle we all face everyday, not just to survive but to live.

July 1, 2019 – Reconnecting

Day one of July, I met up with Chris Dela Cruz at Centris mall. He was a former professor for my English class (Read: American Institute for English Proficiency). I met up with him to catch up but actually end up being grilled in the conversation, in a good way, hahaha! Funny that I felt so uneasy the whole night talking about my self. Anyway, hope he would be successful in his new goals in life.

July 2, 2019 – A Crazy Night at the Penthouse

On the second day of July, Marj invited us to attend the trading seminar hosted by 2Trade Asia. The seminar actually open up a new horizon of ideas and for me to start doing stocks. I just hope I could be good at this eventually.

The Penthouse

After the seminar, me, Yen., Chuckie, Rod and Marj, went straight up to The Penthouse, to dine and have a taste of their newest menu. After dinner, crazy things happened. Scenarios that would make the whole crew remember it for years. hahaha! Not giving any details about it though here.

July 3, 2019 – Dinner at La Petite Parisienne

After work, I invited friends, Presh, Sheng, Reymond and Ate lady to have dinner, wine and cheese at La Petite Parisienne in Tomas Morato, through the invitation of my friend Jaffy. (Read: La Petite Camille)

July 5,6,7 2019 – Thanksgiving

It is our 2nd quarter celebration in the Church and a line up of topics where discuss, that includes the reason why there is no man that live before Adam, Why the sun rises in the east and also rises in the west and lastly the story about the four seeds. I thank God for all the learnings today.

July 8, 2019 – Behind the Social Media Account

I was tasked to handle the management of Instagram and Facebook stories today at the UNTV Cup PBA Legends Finals held at Smart Araneta Colisuem. It was an awesome game between Purefoods and Ginebra as well as San Miguel vs. Alaska. At the end, It was Alaska who took home the first place.

As part of UNTV 37 Public Service, they donated 2 Million pesos for the PBA Legends Foundation.

Later in that same night, I met someone (not to be named) …

July 9, 2019 – The Fine Men of Philips

I was able to sit down and really have a nice conversation with Paul today. Talking about the community, our personal plans as well as some craziness in between. This was after the event by Philips held at Shangrila Mall. Flieshman Hillard has been able to really gather fine men at the event. I was also happy with my new Philips Shaver and trimmer they gave us! I am super excited to used it very soon.

PHILIPS TO BE YOU

July 10, 2019 – Swim Class

Today was my first day of Swimming Class care of Swim Central in Philsports Arena. Kinareer ko talaga ang pagaaral. My goal is to be able to swim in the ocean free of life vest so I could be able to enjoy more the underwater world. Todays lesson was about the basics of floating, puro floating at bubble making lang ang ginawa ko. Unfortunately, I am one of those people who is considered a sinker, so medyo hirap ako magpalutang. The training was done at around 10:30am. It was too funny that I forgot to wear a sunblock, now tan marks are all over my face. My dermatologist would definitely be mad at me for this.

ULtra Swim School

After the swim class, I went straight to ASUS HQ in Ortigas to attend the quick overview on the newest laptop to be release in the market this month. It was only after the meeting I realise that the swimming lessons is really tiring, I decided to go home and took a nap first before meeting up with Lharby and the gang at Tomas Morato later at 4:30.

Today, we actually planned to try the newest horror house called Asylum located in E-Rod. We bought our tickets via Metrodeal giving us 200 peso discount.

Asylum Manila Attraction Quezon City

I really commend the makers of this attraction for I felt that it was well built and really is effective. I got a lot of scares inside the horror house. We had dinner at Palm Grill right after and decided to hang a few more hours at Starbucks just to close the night. It was a really long, tiring yet fun day.

July 11, 2019 – A Trip to the Ocean and the Jungle

I was up early in the morning today, like 5:30am. I decided to start early today so that I could be able to accommodate more things to do within the day. At 6:30am I was already attending the church service in Munoz. Then at around 9am, I went straight home in Bulacan to meet up with my brothers and my dad. We had lunch and talk about our trip to Bicol to meet up with our relatives there.

At around 1pm, I decided to leave the house and went straight to Manila Ocean Park. It took me two hours under the scorching heat just to be able to make it there by 3pm. My friend Alex, came in just in time.

OCEAN PARK MANILA

After exploring the different attractions inside Manila Ocean Park (I totally enjoyed the Jellyfish sanctuary and the Sea Lion Show), we went straight to SM Mall of Asia to attend the premier night of one of the much awaited Disney Film this year – The Lion King.

THE LION KING LAUNCH

I totally enjoyed the film and felt like I was watching NatGeo or Animal Planet, with animals talking and/or singing almost in every scene. The movie finished a few minutes before 10pm. We decided to have dinner at Hard Rock cafe, and I was able to arrive home around 11:45pm. Good night.

July 12, 2019 – Meeting with the Globe Fam

My Globe family set a seminar on this day at 2pm at Volkswagen in BGC. They gave us information about the latest trends as well as the things we might be able to apply in our social media so we could gain more interaction in the future.

July 13, 2019 – The Side Glide

First time that I addeded a swim class on a Saturday morning. Ultra Swimming Pool was pack on a Saturday. My coach for today is Coach Ana, and she thought me the side glide, arm pull and combination of superman and side glide.

July 16, 2019 – Survival Class

I had a really productive day today starting with the event I attended at the Podium. It was the opening of Bens Cookies in the Philippines. Afterwhich, Rod, MJ and I had lunch at the corner market, then I head straight to my swim class at the Upper Deck. Coach Bryan from Swim Central were the one who thought me today for the survival class.

I went to work at Serenitea while waiting for Rod and our friend Levenson for a dinner meeting. Hopefully our plans would push through this year.

July 17, 2019 – Wet and Wild

It was a very funny that today I went to went ‘eventing’ even if its really raining hard! I came in very early at the turmetab event held in The Upper Deck. Actually, I decided to say yes to this for the reason that I was planning to work out to a nearby gym and will be meeting up with Rod as well for an event later that night. At around 3pm, I decided to go to the nearest Anytime Fitness which is in El Pueblo to workout for an hour before heading to BGC with Rod. It was JBL’s launch at XYLO for their newest product line.

July 19, 2019 – KPUB Fiesta

Looking for a possible business venture I decided to attend a franchise expo in SM Megamall. It was just a small number of new players in the market and I actually found a few potentials I am interested in. After that quick visit, I decided to go straight to Tiendesitas where I was invited top join the grand opening of the biggest KPUB resto in the Philippines. But because I arrived earlier than expected, I was able to have enough time to roam around and look for interesting stores in the area.

After having an awesome night with new friends at KPUB, I went straight to Upper Deck for my 2nd Survival Swimming Class. We did a lot of floating and diving in this session. I end up the night, having a glass of tea at CBTL and taking home Rod’s car home.

July 20, 2019 – Up at the Wanderskye

One of my favorite brand opens their newest store at SM Annex, Rod and I decided to drop by to buy some items. After which, along with Echo, we had lunch at Hakata Tonichi in SM North. On this day, Rod and I also booked Red Doorz room at Prime Hotel in West Avenue, just to have a venue to shoot some of the items we would need to post.

July 24, 2019 – Time to do Business

Another long day that started with my swimming class in Ultra. Then I went to pass by Asus HQ. Met up with the Rod and went straight to a meeting for the franchise business we were eyeing for.

July 25, 2019 – Events Day

After my early swimming class, I found my self riding an Angkas again going straight to Greenwich GreenMeadows branch. Though I already arrived late, I had a great time talking about life with Karl, Laila, Tesle and Rod. At around 2pm, I’m already on my way to the Brewery in BGC for the Abercrombie and Fitch launch. I was with Victor Basa the whole time and it was really nice having a grownup conversation with him. I think this was the first time we were really able to talk. When Alvin arrived, I invited them to join me for a milktea at Serenitea.

I actually was surprise, Victor was game to like walk with us from Uptown to Fort One Bonifacio which is around less than 2 km away. At around 7pm, I was supposed to meet up with another friend but it so happen that he went home already, so I decided to just work and let the rush hour pass by. Unfortunately, it rained when I decided to go home. So just to make used of the remaining time of the day, I decided to look for a gym to work out till midnight until the rain stopped.

July 27,2019 – Last few sessions

It was the first time I did the swimming class while it was raining really hard. I can really feel the water both in and out of the pool, and it was awesome. I felt that coach JM’s way of teaching is too technical, or I may be too slow in getting the right form. Nevertheless, it was a fun and tiring morning. I got a long day to go ahead, meeting up with potential buyers which I scheduled the whole day.

July 29, 2019 – Contract Renewed

It was official – my globe plan contract is due for renewal, meaning I could be able to either change my current plan as well as to own a new phone, Yay! In this year, I am planning to upgrade to Globe Platinum. With the kind of internet usage I had, I think jumping into Platinum would be the best move. I am excited to do this!

July 30, 2019 – A New TV Show

Time to present and see how this new TV show would look like. I am hoping that this could have an impact on both TV and online. And because, I was assigned to handle their social media contents, I just wish I could be able to make this as one of the most performing shows not just in the station but also in the Philippines. Thats the goal!

July 31, 2019 – Meeting with Miko  and a trip to Tagaytay!

I had a really productive morning, learning more than a thing or two from Miko and the whole social media universe. It was just a breather to know the things I could excel at and use it to increase my engagement online and also be able to work together with Globe.

After our meeting, I went to meet up with my housemate, Echo, who will be joining me on an staycation in Discovery Suite Tagaytay. And we are doing this trip, commuting. Check out my article on how to go to Tagaytay via bus here.⚜
