Commute Guide: How to go to Tagaytay from Manila (via DLTB Bus to Tagaytay / PITX to Tagaytay)

(Updated July 31, 2022) Tagaytay has considered one of the favorite destinations visited by city dwellers, being just a few hours away from Manila. And with the recent road constructions and new attractions along the way, more and more people are being enticed to visit this cold place. Bringing your own car could be one of the best ways to travel to Tagaytay. But if there would be no other option but to commute, taking a bus to Tagaytay would be the next best thing.

There are several ways to go to Tagaytay, commuting, of course depending on where you are coming from. However, the best options are either the Bus terminals in Buendia, Pasay Taft, or the one in Coastal Mall (Which I have not tried yet). Some are saying that you can also include the Bus terminal in Cubao, but I am doubtful about it for all or most of the provincial buses there are headed northward.

In this commuting guide, I will be giving you an idea of how to go to Tagaytay coming from the North via DLTB Buses. Let’s begin our journey starting …

There are other stations and routes you can try if you are planning in visiting Tagaytay. Aside from the DLTB Buendia Bus Terminal, you can also try visiting the Bus Terminal located at the back of Mc Donalds and Chowking in MRT Pasay Taft Terminal (Across Kabayan Hotel). Another Bus Terminal is located in Lawton, the one near Manila City Hall (which I would need to double-check if it still exists) and another one in Coastal Mall terminal, both I haven’t really tried yet.

Another way to commute to Tagaytay is by taking an FX or Bus ride from Shaw Boulevard. Though this route will entail you to do a transfer. It is still something you can consider especially if you are living around the area. Go to the terminal located in front of Star Mall and look for the FX and/or Buses going to Dasmarinas, Cavite. Coming from Dasmarinas terminal, you can ride a jeepney going straight to Tagaytay.

Coming From Tagaytay Back to Manila

From Manila, you can get off at the Tagaytay Rotunda or Olivarez. Most buses will turn right from this point, if you are not sure where you are going yet, going down at Tagaytay Rotunda would be the best. From here, you can get around Tagaytay via Jeep or Trike.

If you decided to go back to Manila, just ride a bus heading back to Manila at Tagaytay Rotunda or Olivarez. All the buses coming from Batangas will pass through here. ⚜
