2019 July – Keep Upgrading

The month of July 2019 was mostly dedicated on learning how to swim. Though I wasn’t really able to attend most of my class, I think I have able to learn one of the most basic things a swimmer would need to know, which is to float. I truly enjoyed doing the survival class but felt a bit disappointed that I did not really master it after two sessions. Was I ready to go in the middle of the ocean? Will see.

Other activities includes different events and meetings. I also tried to reach out to friends and/or create new ones but felt the failure to have it overtime. I can consider July sort of preparation for the next few months to come. I was not really able to attain much in this month, and felt really down and alone most of the time. I guess it’s the struggle we all face everyday, to not survive but to live.

Swim Central Ph – It is Never too late to Learn How to Swim!

There are many reasons why we need to learn how to swim. Most people would just want to learn this skill for leisurely activity; some consider swimming as a form of exercise or sports; others could possibly want to learn for it could be a part of their requirements for work.

Personally, I consider swimming as one of the most needed skills each of us should have specially for Filipinos. Living in a country that is surrounded by different forms of water, knowing how to swim can definitely give you the advantage of not just navigating the land but also exploring the sea. Isn’t amazing to just freely dive in to the ocean without the worries of being eaten alive by the waters?

This made me realize that I must put on a check on ‘Learning How to Swim’ on top of my goal lists. I had been wishing to do this for almost a decade but because of difficulties in schedule and before lack of school accessibility, I wasn’t really able to do it on the early days. Plus the fact that it was a bit too pricy on those times. Add to that, most of the swimming school I’ve encounter only offers training for kids.

March 2019: The Big American Dream

Ever since then, I never really had a plan of living outside the Philippines or even the thought of traveling outside Manila. My dream back then was just live a peaceful quiet life, simple but totally contented. Though there came an era where flying to the US has been a huge dream to a lot of Filipinos a.k.a. “The American Dream,” it didn’t really bother me a lot. But I guess destiny has already brought me to this situation that I would need to get my visa and soon fly to the US. But until now, even a part of my family has started to migrate there, the idea of living in the US is still not yet part of my future plans.
