Nippon Paint announces the Philippine NPYDA 2015 winners

It was my early favorite and I hope it would be created into reality, Jose Augustine Ricarte’s “Marikina Link” is definitely a winner!

An Architecture student from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Jose along with Martha Joyce Tomas, an Interior Design student also from the UST with her entry “Biojet”, bagged the Gold awards for the Architecture and Interior Design categories, respectively. Both of them will represent the Philippines for this years Nippon Paint Young Designer Award (NYPDA) 2015, a regional competition across 12 Asia Pacific countries organized by Asia’s no.1 coatings manufacturer Nippon Paint.

Raffles Design Institute Graduates 2015 Flying high & Taking off

However, going on a trip around the world can be quite expensive. Now, you can do just that while marveling at exquisitely-designed spaces for free as the Philippine School of Interior Design (PSID) Advanced Class of 2014 holds “Globalscapes”, a graduation exhibit running from Oct. 1-31 at the Super Sale Hall of SM North EDSA, Quezon City.

Marking the 47th year of PSID, this year’s exhibit showcases 22 exquisitely-designed spaces that showcase the beauty and cultural richness across six continents. The students not only took into account their assigned country’s culture but also basic design principles and ergonomics.
