SBS Inkigayo Sandwich opens its first branch in Eastwood
I am not really a sandwich kind of guy, but I can definitely say I prefer having sandwich over burgers. That of course still depends on what’s inside as the filling. It might be difficult for me to be please over burgers and sandwiches but once I found something really good I make sure to remember and stick on to it.
And just recently, I’ve tasted this one of a kind sandwich that KPOP stars are raving about in Korea.

This sandwich K-Pop groups, like BTS, Twice, Seventeen, Shinee, and Blackpink are having just landed in the Philippines. Yep, you’ve read that right, That mix of sweet, sour and creamy SBS Inkigayo Sandwiches is now available on its pioneering branch in Eastwood, Quezon City. SBS Inkigayo Sandwich started at SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) music show, named after the music show itself, “Inkigayo”. Many K-Pop artists shared their story about discovering the sandwich.
Seungri, member of boy group Bigbang, shared a story about how they’re not allowed to eat inside the waiting area. While waiting for their segment, they would go to the 4th floor of the building, which is the cafeteria, to get some food. (Read: KPOP Outfit)
That’s how SBS Inkigayo Sandwich got famous. Seungri also revealed that people inside the building would remove one side of the plastic and slip their phone number to give it to other kpop idols and staffs. Ohh that’s interesting! Makes me really want to visit SBS and see that in action!

SBS Inkagayo sandwich is a wrapped sandwich that has various ingredients from strawberry jam to various salads.
It became famous to Korean stars because of its amazing taste. Nowadays, SBS Inkigayo sandwich became available to different stores with different adaptations there in. Recently, 711, famous convenient store, released SBS Inkigayo sandwich in various places in Korea.
Here in the Philippines, the sandwiches comes in 3 different cute brightly colored triangular boxes.
As of the moment, there is only one type of sandwich available, which is a combination coleslaw, strawberry, crab, mayo and egg and is priced at Php 129. Actually that is much cheaper compared to other countries were Inkigayo Sandwiches are being sold up to Php 200 each.
Inkigayo Sandwiches are made from freshly made ingredients, hence consuming it right away is a must to fully taste its delicious flavor.
Hopefully, Inkigayo could also reach other parts of the country. But as of now, Filipino K-Pop fans as well as sandwich enthusiast can visit SBS Inkigayo Sandwich Truck located in Level 1 Citywalk 2, Eastwood.
