Imagine a place where time passes by very slow, a spot where you can commune with nature, a remote spot, where you’ll be engulfed by lush jungle. This is exactly how it felt when I stayed here at Aranya Resort DRT.
Nestled in the mountain’s center in Doña Remedios Trinidad (DRT), Aranya Resort, provides an unforgettable vacation. With different cabins to choose from, you can enjoy a deeper connection with nature and to anybody you’ve been with in this place.
Accommodation Type

The accommodation is in an A-form cabin style build. I personally love the loft type for I always wanted a room like this. Aranya Resorts may be considered as a camping resort but it made sure to have a luxurious touch by adding an air conditioning, private patios, in-patio dining, and/or small balcony in some units.
Guest would not need to worry for the resort has a clean and maintained toilet and bath that are shared among all White Lauan guests. Cliffside Loft gets a private one.
Aranya Resort utilizes solar power, so do not be surprised for some time power outage could be experience. Water on the other hand may be low at times due to the location of the resort. Drinking water would not be a problem for the resort will provide a gallon of water that will be given after you checked in. Glasswares, water boiler, complimentary coffee, towels and toiletries are also available in each room.
Talking about connectivity, well data works but very limited only. When I was there I was able to reply to some messages and even post stories on Intagram and Facebook. Though if you are planning to work here and rely heavily on internet, you would need to think about or plan your stay properly.
White Lauaan Overlooking Villa (Php 4,800)
White Lauaan Villas is good for 2 persons with large outdoor patios, air conditioned room and Shared Toilet and Bath.

There is also a White Lauaan Villas that are good for 4 persons with large outdoor patios, and Shared Toilet and Bath.
Cliffside Loft (Php 11,800)
What we rented was the Cliffside Loft priced at Php 11,800. Honestly speaking, the price was just worth it, especially if you are splitting the rent into 8 people. The loft was big enough for 8 people with 3 spacious beds. There are also available hut outside and a table downstairs where you can have your breakfast.
Cliffside Loft also have a private bathroom and an infinity pool that you can enjoy anytime. In the evening, we requested to have a bon fire priced at Php 250 that lasted for about 30 minutes. In general, you can check in at 2:00 pm and check out at 12nn. No cancellation is allowed once booking is done.

Other Things to do in Aranya Resort
If you are already getting bored inside your room, why not take a swim at the pool or enjoy a drink or two at the tiki bar. You may also rent a ATV ride which you can use around the 7-hectare property. ATV costs Php 1,000 for 30 minutes. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you can ask for an adventure tour or do the 13 Falls Tour (Maximum of 8 pax) for Php 4,100.
During our stay, we brought food and snacks which is just fine with the resort. But during our breakfast on the next day we decided to try the food they offer in the resort. Each meal is priced around Php 220 and up. Food prices here at Aranya taste good but a bit overpriced hence bringing your own food is advisable.
How to Get There (Commuting Guide)
I asked one of the locals if commuting is possible here. I was told that it is, but it may be a bit difficult, for public transportation can only be found around San Ildefonso. And from there, you would need to hire a tricycle for an hour ride to reach the drop point. This idea isn’t advisable for the road along the way is steep and rough.
When we visited Aranya Resort, I brought a Ford Everest Titanium which is just suited for the hilly mountainous road we encountered.
It was a 3-hour drive coming from Metro Manila with most of it spent in Bulacan area. Once we entered the Mount Lumot Trail, we were stopped by some tourism personnel and were asked to pay a Php 30 environmental fee per head. From this point, it will just take a few meters to read Minda’s Special Buko Pie which is the main jump of point and parking space for our vehicle.
Our arrival was well coordinated for when we arrived the 4×4 truck was already there waiting for us. It was a very excitingly dangerous ride for it was a bit raining when we arrived, and the road was steep, slippery, and rough. But hey, that was fun!
WHAT MY FRIENDS HAVE TO SAY:
I wanted a quick getaway to chill and relax after a busy work week and Aranya didn’t disappoint at all. It is the perfect place to detach and just enjoy the nature. We stayed at the cabin loft that has it’s own private pool which allowed us to chill day and night and even with bonfire! The weather is a little chilly which added to the experience esp since it’s so warm and humid in the city! We didn’t get to visit the 13th falls so we have the perfect excuse to come back. This is definitely an experience worth going back for.

Defenitely a must try! Aranya Resort is one of the best place to be intimate and know your circle a little bit deeper. A day here at Aranya may seem very long, so staying for a day would be enough.
