It’s Corn yet it’s a Rice, It’s Rico Corn Rice!

Have you ever heard about Rice corn? have you tasted one already? This is something new to me, and to some of my readers as well. If you’re curious then read on, you might discover something that would change the way you choose your food.

Having a healthy lifestyle has always been a part of my system, thou just like others, doing so is hindered by the cost it needs to maintain an organically healthy lifestyle, but then again, Health is wealth, right?

Recently I have discovered a great alternative to white rice, and you will be also amazed to see a corn shape into rice, and another exciting fact is it tasted just like regular rice.

Rico Corn Rice is made from 100% Philippine-grown corn fortified with iron and calcium. Amazingly tasted like regular rice but provides the nutrition of corn. Each grain is naturally rich in antioxidants and vitamin A as well as beta-carotene and lutein for good eyesight.

Corn is a complex carbohydrate, which is ideal for athletes and those who have an active lifestyle. Corn has no cholesterol and has a lower glycemic index for controlled blood sugar that is an idea as well for diabetics and weight watchers.

How to cook Rico Corn Rice in 3 Simple Steps:

1. Boil the suggested amount of water

2. Pour the desired amount of Rico

3. Simmer for about 10 to 15 minutes.

By the way, it is advisable not to wash Rico Corn Rice to prevent water-soluble nutrients to be washed out, plus you get to save water as well.
