Started in year 2005, Francis Magalona Clothing Company was one of the first patriotic brands established here in the Philippines.

I got a chance to meet the owners of the brand, friends Carlo Maniquiz, Itoy Villajin, Willy Velasquez with the late Francis Magalona form as the founders of 3 Stars and a Sun.

According to Carlo, the idea of putting-up the brand came up with the suggestion of Francis Magalona, who in that time was wearing a foreign brand, to why not create a local brand instead of supporting foreign company. It was just timely that on the same year, Francis Magalona was already pushing for the “makabayan” campaign thru his music.
