Tawain’s Tiger Sugar Milk Tea Now in Manila

One of the things that I regret when I visited Taipei, Taiwan was to not take the opportunity to taste the different milk tea brands available in the city. Being known as to were the said drink originated, my expectation on how Taiwan’s Milk Tea taste is a bit high. Though I can say that I did able to taste a few but I guess I weren’t really able to have those that people says the best.

Luckily, someone have made it more reachable to Filipinos. Entrepreneur Samantha Yap of Making Fine Beverages Corp. was then first intrigue with the long lines the brand Tiger Sugar made in Hong Kong. And knowing how Filipinos reciprocate to anything milk tea, she realizes that that long line would likely happen as well in Manila.

10 Fat Fook Kitchen Dishes that brought my tummy back to Taiwan

Personally, I have a hard time distinguishing Chinese cuisine from Taiwanese cuisine. When you mix these two in one table, I could instantly say its Chinese, probably because of the colonization issue that my senses would instantly think of that.

Like a chameleon, Taiwanese cuisine could be mistaken at times as Chinese but for those who are really into it would definitely say that Taiwanese does have that distinct and intense flavor when tasted.

My first immersion to Taiwanese cuisine was when I visited Taipei, Taiwan last year. I may say that I am not a food explorer but I tried my best back then to at least try what that country could truly offer.
