February 2019 – Unanticipated Event

February 2019 was too unexpected. It hasn’t sink in to me yet, but need to accept that in a few weeks from now, Mom will be migrating to the US. Things happen so fast that I was caught off guard, and now I would need to file as well an application to get a US Visa, asap! This month has been dedicated to that and planning ahead of time, balancing work and other work and family affairs.

August 2018 Journal #NognogintheCityDiaries

August 2018 is all about making TIME to those people who matters the most. As we grow older, we begin to understand the importance of it and try our best to spend it wisely. We tend to disconnect to people who we know would only waste our time and would give us full negativity. I realize, Life isn’t just about making a tower and guarding it on your own, but rather building a house that is open and ready to be shared to anyone who is willing to connect. July 2018 Monthly Journal #NognogintheCityDiaries

My activity on the first day usually sums up what will be my months highlights. This July, the month started with the theater play “Rak of Aegis.” Eventually, it was followed by a series of different cultural activities like Virgin Lab Fest, Eto na Musikal nAPO, Elements Music Festival, and other fashion related activities like Gayak Fashion Show, EFS Photoshoot and the chance to be styled by Daryl Chang at Uniqlo. It has been a blast this month, especially when I attended the Tough Mudder Race and bonded pretty well with my Tough Mudder crew. We even had drawn some plans of traveling to places like Tagaytay (which I wasn’t able to join) and La Union, which is soon to be fully painted by the crew.

Tough Mudder Philippines Training Experience at Obstacle Course Factory

It is not a race, it is teamwork.

These were the words that stuck in my head when I first joined the Tough Mudder Training in Obstacle Course Factory in Makati City. I was so intimidated back then seeing those good looking men and women in a physique like there was runway show relocated in that place. I felt like a weakling that would eventually become a burden to the team being left behind in the race.

But all my speculations and ideas about Tough Mudder have change after my first day of training. I felt not just overwhelmed about my own capabilities but were also already looking forward on the next. Over a few hours, most of the “Mudders” (as each were called) felt like we already know each other. Everybody was warm and very supportive. And just like how they said it, it was truly teamwork, nobody was left behind.

Continue reading, will tell you more about my personal experience about the Tough Mudder training.
