The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines and the Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) will join the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia on 02-05 February 2023 to showcase what the Philippines has to offer to the international market and strengthen business relationships to further boost the country’s tourism.
Doing videoke session has always been a thing I love to do on my free time. Actually, It’s an activity I enjoy doing with friends and even just by myself. Filipinos’ love affair with karaoke is world-renowned. But as fond of the activity as we are as a nation, owning our own videoke system at home wasn’t very popular until just about two decades ago. The Northern Food Festival kicks off last friday (October 17,2014) with fireworks, marching band, street dancing and serving of the largest plate of sizzling sisig in the country.
One of the highlights of the event is the cook up of the iconic Kapampangan dish at the opening ceremony. With an 11-feet in diameter sizzling plate, this serving of Sisig promises to be the largest one ever cooked up in the province. The Giant Sisig was cooked by popular Chefs like Chef Sau Del Rosario, Chef Jam Melchor, Chef Bong Sagmit and the HRM Students of Systems Plus College Foundations headed by Dean Rennier Perez.
The Philippines is all set to become the ultimate destination next year with the launch of Department of Tourism’s Visit the Philippines Year (VPY) 2015, an invitation for all to experience the enduring promise of “It’s More Fun in the Philippines.” Encouraging nationwide participation, DOT hopes to inspire 10 million foreign tourists to discover, explore and fall in love with the Philippines.
In support, the DOT has developed a microsite inside the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” website to serve as directory to everything the Philippines has to offer.
