MANILA, Philippines — BEAUTYCON 2026 officially opened with a powerful message: beauty goes beyond products—it’s about people, community, and self-expression. Organized by Watsons Philippines, this year’s highly anticipated beauty convention brought together industry leaders, global icons, and over 185 brands in a celebration of innovation and inclusivity.

In her opening remarks, Kim Reyes, Director of the Beauty Business Unit and Commercial Services Division of Watsons Philippines, emphasized that BEAUTYCON has always been centered on building a strong and inspiring beauty community. She highlighted how partners and brands continue to push boundaries, creating products and experiences that resonate with today’s consumers.

The grand opening was marked by a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by AS Watson Group CEO Dr. Malina Ngai, alongside key Watsons executives, brand partners, and Filipina fashion icon Heart Evangelista. The event also coincided with AS Watson’s 185th anniversary, carrying the theme “Grow As One”—a testament to the company’s long-standing legacy in health and beauty retail.

Dr. Ngai shared how the Philippines’ vibrant and expressive beauty culture reflects the heart of the brand. From its humble beginnings in Hong Kong in 1841, AS Watson has grown into the world’s largest international health and beauty retailer, staying true to its mission of bringing joy and confidence to customers worldwide.
BEAUTYCON 2026 featured an exciting lineup of celebrity guests, beauty experts, and wellness personalities, including Heart Evangelista, Piolo Pascual, Andrea Brilliantes, Catriona Gray, Alden Richards, Belle Mariano, and Olympic gold medalist Carlos Yulo. Attendees also gained insights from industry experts such as Albert Kurniawan, Dr. Vicki Belo, and Dr. Hayden Kho through engaging talks and panel discussions.
Beyond the star-studded appearances, the event delivered a fully immersive experience.
