We’ve put together a full day of leisure, amusement, and companionship using Estancia’s many facilities. Getting back to our original question: what are you craving right now? Find below a list of 10 places to eat, have your hair done, or get your nails done so you can fully enjoy your day of pampering.

1. Buca Di Beppo Philippines

Mood: When you and your famiglia want a big Italian meal.

Location: LG/F East Wing

The name “Buca di Beppo” literally translates to “Joe’s Small Place” (Beppo is the diminutive form of Giuseppe (Joseph) and buca means “hole” or “pit”). If you want to do it the Italian way, you’ll need to come hungry. Begin with some antipasto, such the calamari in marinara sauce and the bruschetta with Roma tomatoes on parmesan crostini served at Buca. Begin with an appetizer like soup or salad before moving on to a main dish like pasta (we recommend the Spicy Chicken Rigatoni!) or Prosciutto Stuffed Chicken with Mozzarella. Alternatively, you might get a large pizza to share, such as a Supremo Italiano topped with both Italian sausage and pepperoni. It’s best to save room for the Colossal Brownie Sundae, which features brownie pieces and 12 servings of vanilla ice cream. Have a nice meal!

2. Ebi 10

Mood: When you miss Japan so much.

Location: The Royalton, Capitol Commons

Even if Japan is finally welcoming independent travelers, you still have no excuse to not try some of the country’s delicious cuisine right here in the city. For soul-soothing ramen, visit Ebi 10. You’ll feel like you’re in Tokyo if you get some yakitori (get as many sticks as you like), chicken karaage, tempura, pork tonkatsu, or steak. Try some Cantina Giordano with some fresh salmon or tuna sashimi. Try one of Ebi 10’s rice bowls, including the gyudon, tori chahan, or tonkatsu currydon, for a quick and easy supper.

3. Kandle Café

Mood: When it’s raining and you’re all in for a hearty soup and coffee.

Location: The Royalton, Capitol Commons

You can kick off your get-together by cradling a steaming cup of dark mocha latte in your hands. The third-wave Kandle Café has a wide selection of breakfast items, Filipino favorites, delicious cakes, and specialty coffee drinks. Do you long for San Francisco’s famous chowder? The clam chowder at Kandle Café is a hearty and delicious option. Isn’t it time we had some of our own hearty Monggo soup? Read that as well! Pastas and palabok compete for your attention with chocolate cake prepared with 100% Malagos chocolate and tres leches cake, which consists of layers of vanilla sponge cake soaked in three kinds of milk.

4. Crisostomo

Mood: When you miss your mother’s cooking.

Location: 2/F East Wing

Crisostomo restaurant has become as much of a legend for its traditional Filipino fare as its namesake in revolutionary Filipino literature. Chef Florabel Co Yatco, who takes inspiration from Filipino cuisine of the turn of the century, serves dishes like Bagumbayan lechon kawali, Protacio’s Pride, and New Zealand mussels baked with garlic and cheese, all of which have names taken from Rizal novels. Sinigang Gomez is made with pig, Sinigang Burgos with beef, Sinigang Meztizo with fish, and Sinigang Kapitan with prawns. It’s a lot of fun to try to figure out what each character in Noli Me Tangere was named after and what they ate to earn that moniker.

Having sampled every variety of ramen, you’re eager to try something new in the noodle world. Mazendo, a Taiwanese eatery, is a great choice if you’re looking for a wide variety of noodles. You can get dry noodles or a noodle soup to fill you up. Do you know what Hainanese noodles are? Is there anything like mapo tofu noodles? At long last, you have done so! There are seven different noodle sets to choose from at Mazendo, and they all come with a main dish like pork chop, chicken chop, or red roast beef cooked in the style of Taiwan. Noodle soups are another option, and they pair particularly well with dumplings as an accompaniment.
