With Gen Z and young working professionals in mind, ASUS launched the newest ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED (K513) laptop last October 2021. The newest OLED laptop from ASUS is packed with productivity features for at-home learning and work-from-home needs, plus entertainment add-ons for extra-curricular activities so users can learn and play like a pro. It’s a very lightweight device suited for proactive users, having a creative lifestyle, and pursuing diversity and efficiency.

I’ve been using it for a week now and one of the things I truly love about this laptop, aside from the one mentioned above, is its very light body weight compared to what I previously owned. Weighing only 1.8kg and is up to 18.6mm thin, Vivobook 15 OLED is such a perfect companion going to work or doing a quick getaway.

Aside from that, its entertainment value has leveled up. For its price range, having an OLED screen is such a game-changer. This gives us, users, a device that is affordable but has the qualities you could find in high-end units.

I recently did weekend travel to Panglao, Bohol, and one of the problems I encountered was about my hand-carry luggage. Because the flight can only accommodate 7kg per head, I need to decide how I could fit all my stuff in my bag. Good thing the laptop came in handy, making it possible for me to combine work and leisure at the same time.

The OLED screen display on the ASUS Vivobook 15 OLED is the very first time in the Vivobook series to have a unit with 15.6 inches three-sided NanoEdge OLED display, letting more people experience visuals like never before, with true-to-life colors. Its overall 85% screen-to-body ratio can be enjoyed within its 178 degrees wide viewing angle.

This is something that I totally enjoyed, being someone who works in a television station and loves watching movies. Having an OLED Display just makes my working unit an instant entertainment showcase. The OLED displays a professional-grade color reproduction vetted by various industry leaders like Pantone, 60% higher color volume for accurate colors even at low brightness level, one million is to one contrast ratio for that true black and certified 70% less harmful blue light and flicker-free. All these provide a satisfyingly seamless user experience.

And speaking of seamless multitasking, the Vivobook 15 OLED features the Link to MyASUS to seamlessly integrate the Vivobook laptop to your phone and vice versa. With this, I can easily access files remotely or make hands-free phone calls.

Design always plays a big role in our decision to purchase any product. The Vivobook 15 OLED is just right for you if you are into simplicity that works. It got a very straightforward design and made to be thin for mobile work or learning.

The Vivobook 15 OLED weighs 1.8kg and is up to 18.6mm thin making it easy for me to slip it into my bag. It features a Harman-Kardon-certified sound system that can deliver high-fidelity audio every time, though trying it outside, I would suggest that you rely on earphones for a clearer sound. The Vivobook 15 OLED also features an AI noise-canceling audio that enhances speech input and reduces background noise from the laptop’s mic and speaker. This feature is a must especially for outdoor scenarios wherein you would need to instantly do a quick meeting or the likes.

Accessing the Vivobook 15 OLED is now also made easier with just a single touch. The fingerprint sensor on the trackpad makes logging in in Windows Hello a breeze while keeping private data secure and protected. It also has a fully backlit keyboard that works best even in low-light conditions.

Talking about connectivity, the Vivobook 15 OLED comes with a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, a USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C, two USB 2.0, an HDMI, an Audio Jack Combo, and a Micro SD Card reader.
