The release of HUAWEI Matepad Pro here in the Philippines just excites me. I’ve heard about this product way back early this year and I was happy that Huawei Philippines finally release it here in the market. Though the other options isn’t available yet (Pearl White, Forest Green and Orange), the Midnight Grey would just be suited with my personality.

HUAWEI Matepad Pro features the world’s thinnest tablet bezels that measure just 4.9mm , resulting in an incredible 90% screen-to-body ratio, such a beauty specially when watching my favorite movies and TV series.

The Huawei Matepad Pro has been a big help for me over the past few days and I am super excited to actually take it out when the quarantine season is over. Before we jump into its functionality, let me give you first an overview of its specification.

Best Companion for Entertainment (Music & Movies)

Equipped with a 10.8 inch display, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro simply is an irresistible gadget to use for entertainment. It got that cinematic feels, regardless of where I am whether I’ll be in the comfort of my bed, couch or even at the office.

Did you know that Huawei MatePad Pro’s pixel density, which is 280ppi, is 16ppi higher than iPad Pro’ 264ppi? It also supports 540 nits brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio, hence HUAWEI MatePad Pro reproduces colors with high contrast, deep blacks and stunning accuracy giving me a more immersive experience.

Huawei also introduced Eye Comfort Mode which lets us customize the color temperature of the display depending on my liking. Alternatively, you can also enable Natural Tone, which adjusts color temperature based on ambient lighting to deliver consistent viewing experience.

Music has been part of my life ever since,  and Huawei Matepad Pro just deliver the party right at my bedroom. Huawei Matepad Pro supports four-channel sound output to deliver a richer experience. It produces this impeccable clarity, thanks to the high-amplitude quad-channel stereo speakers tuned by Harman Kardon. Now I can bring the party anywhere I got with this simple unit.

Hours of Livestreaming

Overheating problems? No worries, Huawei Matepad Pro got this 12-layer cooling system that will ensure our device stays cool to the touch even under load. Additionally, the HUAWEI MatePad Pro is the world’s first tablet to support wireless charging  and reverse wireless charging. Very useful most specially if you are on the go and already out of powerbanks.

Also, Huawei Matepad Pro adopts a five-capsule microphone setup, with four linear microphones located on the top frame and one near the rear camera. Together, the capsules enable the microphone to capture sound from up to 5m away. Now who needs a headset and microphone with this setup?

Either Blogging or Work

Writing articles for both work and my blog is something I do on a regular basis. It is the job that pays the rent, and having an option aside from the laptop would be very efficient specially if I am out of the house.

Weighing only 460 g (1.01 lb), this awesome gadget can easily be slip in my bag. It is very light and easy to carry and doesn’t really need much space to keeping.

One of the things that I really love about the Matepad Pro is its capability to support Multi-Window, which enables effortless multitasking. Perfect whenever I am doing social media management while writing a blog or even watching a movie!

Another feature that is very useful for my work is the Huawei Share, which enables multi-screen collaboration, a solution that makes seamless collaboration between smartphone and tablet. Using this feature I can easily control both devices from just one screen and freely project my smartphone on the tablet enjoying both at the same time. I can also easily drag and drop files from one unit to another seamlessly.

And to make work much easier, having an added accessories like the Huawei M-Pencil and Smart Magnetic Keyboard makes this tablet even more powerful. Imagine, an instant alternative to my laptop, I can easily snap it to the magnetic keyboard and it turns instantly to a computer. Both can easily be connected via Bluetooth proximity pairing

The Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard is priced at Php 6,990 and the Huawei M-Pencil can be bought for Php 4,990

Play Graphic Centric Games

Playing games isn’t really something that I do that much, but having it on my Matepad Pro gives me an option to entertain myself most specially during boring days.

Of course to fully check the capability of the unit I installed some of the most graphic centric games like AFK Arena, Free Fire, Asphalt 9,  Rise of Kingdom and of course Mobile Legends.

Just like what I expected, Matepad Pro didn’t fail to impress me, the details are so crisp and games are very responsive.

I guess this high performance all lies to HUAWEI Matepad Pro’s cutting-edge Kirin 990 flagship chipset and up to 8GB LPDDR4X dual-channel RAM for multitasking support.

Art, Doodling, Design!

Taking notes has never been too easy with the Huawei Matepad Pro specially with the use of Huawei M-Pencil. It delivers a natural and intuitive writing experience. With 4,096 pressure-sensitive levels and tilt support, expect to have an incredible accuracy and sensitivity from Huawei M-Pencil.

Artist will definitely love this specially that the Huawei M-Pencil has a sub-20ms latency, means input lag is imperceptible to the human eye, making writing on screen or drawing as natural as it is on paper.

Doodling time!
