How to commute to SM Southmall?

Commuting to SM Southmall could be both easy and hard at the same time depending on where you are coming from. Aside from the traffic, you might experience along EDSA; Alabang-Zapote road somehow gives you the same experience.

How to to go Sm Southmall and South Station-3

If you are from the northern part of the city (Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Malabon) you would need to at least bear the long traffic of EDSA, or transfer to 2 or more rides before reaching the destination. 

In the Manila area, there are some points where Buses that go straight to Alabang are available (terminal at Lawton), but bear in mind that most buses here are mostly full. Knowing when to leave the place is very essential. 

Here are some of the ways How to Commute to SM Southmall? 

Coming from the North (Quezon City, Caloocan, Valenzuela, Bulacan, etc)

  1. Option 1 : Ride the MRT from North EDSA and go down at Ayala MRT Station. Go down at EDSA Bus stop and look for the Southbound buses heading to Alabang/Pacita/San Pedro. Go down at Alabang (Alabang South Station)  and walk towards the jeepney terminal (Jeepney Options: Las Pinas / Zapote Kabila / Baclaran Coastal / SM Southmall / Casimiro / Moonwalk). Ride the jeepney via Alabang-Zapote Road and go down at SM Southmall. South Station to SM Southmall is only 4km away.
  2. Option 2: Ride the MRT from North EDSA and go down at Ayala MRT Station. Walk towards Park Square Building  (near Dusit Thani Hotel in front of SM Makati) and look for the FX/Van headed to Las Pinas.  This route passes by Alabang-Zapote. Tell the driver to drop you off at SM Southmall.
  3. Option 3: Ride the MRT from North EDSA and go down at Magallanes MRT Station. Walk towards the Bus Stop and look for the Southbound buses heading to Alabang/Pacita/San Pedro. Go down at Alabang (Alabang South Station)  and walk towards the jeepney terminal (Jeepney Options: Las Pinas / Zapote Kabila / Baclaran Coastal / SM Southmall / Casimiro / Moonwalk). Ride the jeepney via Alabang-Zapote Road and go down at SM Southmall. South Station to SM Southmall is only 4km away.
  4. Option 4: Ride the MRT from North EDSA and go down at EDSA Taft Station. Go down and look for the Jeepney via Alabang Zapote and go down at SM Southmall.

From Manila to SM Southmall

From Lawton, busses heading to Alabang South Station are already available and pass directly to Alabang-Zapote road where SM Southmall, Festival Mall, and Alabang Town Center are located. You can go down straight to that location. The bus route coming from Lawton is via Las Pinas/Coastal Road.

P2P Buses (Point-to-Point) SM Southmall to Makati CBD

There is a new P2P bus ride from SM Southmall going to Makati CBD and vice versa. This is made available by San Agustin Transport Corp via Las Pinas to Makati route. The pickup point is located near the west parking of SM Southmall Las Pinas with a route via Skyway Alabang South Station/Don Bosco entry/exit. It is available from Mondays to Saturdays only. Here are the scheduled trips from SM Southmall:

  • 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m – 30-minute interval per ride
  • 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. – one-hour interval per ride
  • 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. – 30-minute interval time
  • 9 p.m. – last trip

Standard fare is at P100 and P80 for students, senior citizens, and people with disabilities.  Here are the Drop off and Pick up Points coming from Last Pinas.

From SM Southmall Las Pinas (drop off)

The first trip coming from Makati (Ayala Circuit Mall) is at 7:30 am and the last trip is at 9:00 pm. ⚜
