Cellular Phone has already placed itself as a necessity in life. Living in a tech driven society, connectivity and communication became really important that even kids nowadays owns one. That is the reason why, more and more innovations and choices are becoming available in the market.
Comes a new player that you might think already late in the mobile battle, but no, it just needed a grand entrance. Realme knows how to play letting all everyone know that the brand isn’t something not to ignore.
Keep on reading and will tell you a bit more about the device I’ve got.
Realme just recently release its entry phone called the Realme C1, which I can say gives more than what you asked for, for a very affordable price.
In summary, Realme C1 main features includes a big 6.2” notch screen, a long lasting 4,230mAh battery, Dual Rear Camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Octa-Core Processor, a Croning Gorilla Glass protection and a stylish body and trendy design. Now who would say this is just an entry phone.
But just like any other phones, these specs are just words not until one uses and experience it. I was able to hold on to one of the units when Realme was first made available over Lazada last November 2018. Priced at the very affordable Php 5,600, Realme C1 comes in two colors; Mirror Black and Navy Blue.
Now let me tell you about its performance and my personal experience about the unit.
Battery Life
Realme C1 comes with 4230mAH, that is life 90% more compare to iPhone XS. With that range, I can actually just leave my charger at home, while enjoying taking photos, playing games or even watching movies without worrying about the battery life.
I also like that Realme C1 got this so called AI Power Master capability that intelligently optimize power consumption of apps and control the number of processor cores to avoid power waste. AI Power Master got two-core power saving principle; APP-Freezing Power Saver & Quick App Freezing. It is a too technical to explain but in general these features just make your phones battery life last longer.
I actually did a standby test unexpectedly where the phone battery unit lasted for more than 5 days without charging. After I got the unit, I became too busy with work I wasn’t really had the time to deal with the phone. So after fully charging, I put it in my bag and carry it anywhere I go, until I realize it was already days since I got it. And luckily, the phone battery life is still in green. This unit could have been a very good device to be used if you were like in a scene in Bird Box where you would need communicate once in a while and need the phone to be alive for days.
Processor & Capacity
Realme C1 comes with a Qualcomm 450 octa-core processor with basic frequency speed at 1.8Ghz, low power consumption with fast processing, smart calling of CPU capacity, and able to call up to 8 cores simultaneously. I am not actually sure about its conversion to the performance of the unit but what I can actually share is that when I used the phone unit to play some of the graphic centric games like my favorite Mobile Legends, Realme C1 delivers and gives me that flawless action gaming without even consuming much power. Aside from that, I was not able to experience lag compare to other devices that I once own on the price range.
Realme C1 also got a 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM. You can also use an microSD card of up to 256GB which you can install in tis 2+1 card slots (Dual Nano + Micro SD).
Design
This is one of the things that attract me the most when choosing a unit. A good first impression is always a good start if ever you would see a line of different unit displayed on a shop. People would be drown to this unit for aside that the price captures your eyes, Realme is the first to have that 6.2 inch large notch screen at its price range.
The 88.8% screen-to-body ration and 19:9 screen displays can be realized, which are ultra-high among peer products. The phone also has a more compact layout of the three major components – the receiver, front camera and light sensor, as well as 2.05mm ultra narrow bezel. The screen is made of abrasion-resistant third-generation Corning Gorilla glass.
Now, movie viewing, playing games can be seen more vividly with this kind of screen.
Photography
Being an entry phone, I wasn’t really expecting too much about its photography capability. For me, in this price range, I am more looking for battery life and usability, which no doubt, Realme C1 delivers.
But surprises comes in small packages, as Realme didn’t hinder to include a high performance dual camera to the C1 unit.
Realme C1 comes with 13M+2M dual rear cameras that ensure clearer profile and more natural bokeh. PDAF phase focusing technology is available to speed up focusing, reduce the focus time when users take pictures and capture every wonderful moment. 1080P ensures higher-definition videos.
Realme C1 also got portrait mode, AI beauty that recognizes gender, age, skin status and skin tone, and a smart image editing that supports an “Auto Enhance” photos. Now who needs Photoshop when just doing a selfie, check out the selfie above!

Realme is now available in offline stores nationwide such as MemoXpress, Intogadgets, Fone Style, Boma Telecom, Fonetwist, Techknow, Tech101, Galleon Enterprises Telecom, Aerophone, Electronico, Cybertech and Wiltelcom. Currently reaching more than 150+ stores, the expansion will continue for the whole month of January to reach nationwide availability.
