Wondering what happen before and after a major concert? Well, it is something you would and wouldn’t expect. Of course performers are mostly in their comfort zone on this moments so expect something that cannot be seen on stage. Well for all the wishers and fans of the Wishful 5, I am happy to inform you that I was able to get a backstage pass at the recent Wishful Journey Platinum Album Launch and Concert held in Araneta Coliseum.

Princess Sevillena, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola and Ace Bartolome are the five promising singers who composes the Wishful 5 who just recently held a concert in celebration of the the release of their debut record.
The album named as “Wishful Journey” was launched in partnership with Wish 107.5 and Star Music. After selling over 15,000 units in just one day, the record is now certified Gold and Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry (PARI). According to Star Music representative at the concert, it was the first time that an album reach Gold and Platinum in just one day.
Wishful Journey Backstage Pass
Working in the media industry, I was lucky to have been given the privilege to obtain a backstage pass on this event. My ID pass on the day of the event states FOH/BOH, which means Front of the House/Back of the House, and would give me access to do a coverage at the event as well as at the backstage (or even inside the makeup room). So I took this opportunity to show all of you guys what usually happens before and after the event through some of the screenshots I took of my video coverage, which I will be uploading soon on the Vlog, so I hope you would drop by and subscribe.
As expected, backstage is one of the busiest place to be aside from the control area. This is true, especially a few minutes before the event started where everyone is busy fixing all the performers and making sure that everything is in place before they went up the stage.
I wasn’t really able to talk to all of the Wishful in this moment for I do not want to be the cause of the delay in their performance. After all, I was just there to lurk, observe and maybe chat a little if the time permits.
A few songs before the intermission number ends, I was able to have a chitchat with Ace, Carmela and Louie Anne. They were really thankful to God for this journey as well as to all the supporters who had been with them since the beginning. The concert is truly something that they are dedicating to all.

Wishful Journey Album launch concert was held in Araneta Coliseum last June 19, 2018. It was a sold out concert and a celebration of a Platinum Record Album. Princess Sevillena, Kimberly Baluzo, Louie Anne Culala, Carmela Ariola and Ace Bartolome belted out songs from the album along with their very own singles.
The Wishful 5 also shared the stage with country’s own world-class acts, Asia’s Phoenix Morissette and Pop Rock Royalty Yeng Constantino. Other special guests also includes R&B royalties Kris Lawrence and Daryl Ong, and Pilipinas Got Talent Season 6 grand winner Kristel De Catalina.
I was also able to visit DJ Alice at the Wish 107.5 Bus.

The concert ended around 11:30 in the evening with the Wishful 5 performing the Wish 107.5 theme song. Princess, Kimberly, Louie Anne, Carmela and Ace also made time to giveaway some posters, take selfies and say hi to all their fans after the event.
