Is It Really The End of the Chinese Miracle?

Awesome tourist destinations, scrumptious cuisine, eye-popping fireworks, affordable gadgets and almost everything that’s easy on the budget are just some of the things China has to offer. For large companies, low-cost in China also means low rates for workers. But things are changing in China and this shift may affect the reasonably priced products we enjoy.

To better understand what’s happening in China and ways that this would affect us, Financial Times, one of the world’s leading news organizations, produced a 15-minute documentary called “The End of the Chinese Miracle.”

Financial Times or FT is recognized globally for its authority, integrity, and accuracy. The organization provides its international audience a broad range of services from news, commentaries, data to analysis. The short documentary gave me a backgrounder on how the cheap labor rates in China gave their economy a big push upward and why the “Chinese miracle” is now on its end. The docu got me thinking if an economy giant like China is facing this kind of crisis, it can possibly affect other Asian countries like the Philippines.

Watch FT’s feature documentary and let me know in the comments section if you agree that the Chinese miracle is really at the end of the line.
