On my visit to Puerto Galera and in search of thrifty places to stopover, I was told to try and visit some of their Mangrove Parks. So my friends and I decided to drive our way to the nearest Mangrove Parks in our area, which is located in Brgy. Tabinay.

The place is a bit difficult to locate specially if your not familiar with the place so bringing in locals that could pin point the area would give you the effort in finding the place. It is still in the developing stage, but the beauty of the place is a must to be seen.

Out of the 40 species of Mangrove or locally called as “Bakawan” found in the Philippines, 20 species can be seen here at the Mangrove Parks of Puerto Galera. I really love the wooden bridges they created; it does give that romantic view in the place. Aside from its beauty, another good thing about this place is you can access it for free!

Mangroves are an essential part of the coastal areas because it serves as the protection against heavy wind, waves or storms. Aside from the one we visited in Brgy. Tabinay, There are three different major mangrove parks that can be visited in Puerto Galera, located at Sabang, San Isidro, & Poblacion.

I guess this place in Tabinay is perfect to be visited in the afternoon where you can see the beauty of the Sunset.
