tipsy pig

I’m not a fan of liquor drinking, or had that drive to do smoking, that’s why at the first time i heard about the name Tipsy Pig Gastropub, I did felt a bit hesitant already on joining the upcoming Food trip adventure. But after a few researches and reading some stories about how great the food is. I said to myself, hey let’s do it and give it a try!

Along with few blogger friends we decided to visit the place one Sunday evening. Tipsy Pig is located at the newly created hangout place in the middle of QC and Makati, which is in Capital Commons in Pasig City.

At the venue we met one of owner, Rep. Ronald Singson from Ilocos Sur, the son of the patriarch of the Singson political clan Chavit Singson.

According to Sir Ronald, Tipsy Pig Gastropub, started with the idea of putting up a transitional restaurant that turns into a bar/pub at late night. Fifteen people own Tipsy Pig that includes old time bar owners, restaurateur, entrepreneurs and other newbies in this kind of business.

One of the factors that set them apart was the experimentation they have created in their menu list. With the name “tipsy” they incorporated different liquors in some of their unique dishes.

It was a fun night with delicious food added with great chat with fellow bloggers. But here are some reasons for me to go back at Tipsy Pig Gastropub.

Seven Other Reasons to keep me coming back at Tipsy Pig Gastropub

1. Star-studded – with a vast connection of the owners, plus celebrity friends, you will surely find your way looking at the familiar faces that enters Tipsy pig’s door. On my visit we actually saw two celebrities already, Michele Madrigal and Bianca Manalo.

2.  Good Music – I really love the alternative lay back music line up they had on a Sunday Night, it really sets the mood of the place. Then at around 10pm the music will then be turn up in to a more upbeat Hip-Hop music. They even had a house DJ mixing at times.

3. Interiors – Wood interiors always pleases me specially if it is well crafted and Tipsy Pig had just perfectly created a nice structure for their interiors.

4. The Must Try – here are some of the foods I really love at Tipsy Pig. I really love the sisig toppings at the nachos, and its really great for startup. The Tipsy’s Boneless Crispy Pata is really crispy specially at the skin part with a thin fatty layer, its is partnered with two dip for variation. The Flaming wings was one of my favourite that i even reserve the last piece and eat it at the end of the meal. It has that very light spicy kick that I truly love. The Beer Can Chicken was one of their best sellers presented with a can of San Miguel inside it. The beer makes the chicken taste salty and inserting it inside while its being cooked makes the chicken meat even tastier.  It is really an eye-catching dish, thou you might find it a bit salty to taste.

5. Barkada Hangoutit’s a place to chill out and even more enjoyable with friends to tag along. The place was spacious enough with four segmentation.you can be either in the non-smoking area at the lower ground, the smoking area at the second floor, or maybe you can also book at the secluded VIP area. And if your looking for a better and more expose view try dining outside the restaurant.

6. Location – Tipsy Pig is located at the newly created hangout place in Pasig City called Capitol Commons, positioning at the middle of Makati and Quezon City targeting not just the nearby areas but as well as creating a buzz for people who s wanting to find a new place to hangout. Thou parking was a bit problem with in the area, the owners are hoping that on the opening of the nearby area, parking wouldn’t be a problem no more.

7. Food menu – the restaurant is still under a dry run thus you will notice the long lists of food menu list. But as what the owners have said, they are eager to remain the fast moving dishes and will add few more menu every 3 months so expect a vast choices upon your visit to the place.
