FoodPanda Maginhawa Foodcrawl: Big B Burgers

Big B’s started from partners Joelle Yuvienco and Erik Galvez, in their intention to save money for their future travels. Without any background in doing business or even cooking burgers, Erik’s love of burgers drove him to create a recipe that unexpectedly become a hit. They initially sold burgers with 50% beef and 50% bacon in UP during their breaks, later they put up stalls and sold burgers during events. With too many suggestions and inquiries they finally decided to put up a restaurant and found a perfect spot at Teacher’s Village and opened up Big B Burger.

Heres what we had in that lazy afternoon. Let’s start with some Poutine ng Ina Mo (Php 120). Catchy name for a potato dish, The Poutine ng Ina Mo is inspired from a popular dish in Canada but they recreated it here with a twist.

Now we off to have our lunch! 3rd stop of our FoodPanda Maginhawa Foodcrawl is in this all pinoy food restaurant called Homies. Owned and conceptualised by homies Jerico Littaua and Hagen Topacio, Homies is located at Magiting Street, just a stone thrown away from Maginhawa street. I’m still full from the previous two restaurant, Breakfast at KatzDiner & mirienda at Casa Quesadilla, but the Friend Chicken serve on our table is so enticing not to taste.

Cosy casual dining, Katz Diner is a laid back place that offers delicious Filipino cuisine with a twist and a lists of all-day breakfast. Located not directly in Maginhawa, but in its branching street called Malingap.

Katz Diner is a small place that could accommodate 30-40 poeple. If your bringing a car, if would be just perfect for Katz Diner got 2 parking spaces at front. Katz Diner got simple interiors with a few posters in some corners, a small open kitchen were diners can actually see the preparation of the ordered foods.
