When we planned our latest trip to Hong Kong, we wanted something flexible, value-driven, and easy to use — that’s why we went for the HONG KONG FunPASS Deluxe 3-in-1. With this pass, travelers get to pick from a long list of attractions, transport options, and even meal vouchers — all bundled in one.
It can be booked in different ways but for my convinience I decided use Klook during my visit. Since the pass is digitally loaded and activated via an app, it removes the hassle of buying separate tickets at each attraction. Just activate, reserve your spots via QR code, and you’re good to go.
For budget-conscious travelers or those with limited time, this means convenience, flexibility, and often substantial savings compared to individual tickets.
Our One-Day Hong Kong Journey with FunPASS
In just one day, we managed to hit three very different experiences using our FunPASS:
- Evening harbour cruise via Star Ferry at Victoria Harbour — our “themed” activity.
- City skyline & peak views via Victoria Peak Tram 6th-Generation Round-Trip + Sky Terrace 428 admission.
- A round of fun and nostalgia at Monopoly Dreams Hong Kong (inside the Peak Galleria / Tower complex).
Here’s how it unfolded:
Early Afternoon – Peak Tram & Monopoly Dreams at Peak Tower

Just after our early lunch, we started with the iconic Victoria Peak Tram. The 6th-generation tram carried us smoothly up the mountainside — a ride that’s part of Hong Kong’s heritage. Upon arrival at the Peak Gallery Building, and becuase it was still hot outside, we decided to do and visit the Monopoly Dreams first.

Monopoly Dreams Hong Kong, is the first attraction of its kind in the world — an immersive, interactive 4D-themed experience inspired by the classic board game. We wandered through zones like the “Bank,” “Train Station,” “Jail,” and “Chance,” played with holograms and AR effects, and even received a souvenir Monopoly bill, that we used to get discount purchasing items at the shop. It felt playful, fun, and totally different from the tourist-checklist usual.
It was a lighthearted detour, ideal for anyone wanting a break from sightseeing but still wanting to soak in something uniquely “Hong Kong.”
Late Afternoon – Sky Terrace 428

Transffering at the other building, we then went straight to the Sky Terrace 428. The panoramic views greeted us that stretched from the high-rise towers of Hong Kong Island across Victoria Harbour to Kowloon. The city sprawling beneath us — it was pure postcard material.

For us, this was the perfect “classic” — a must-do that really shows Hong Kong’s contrast of natural height and urban hustle in one breathtaking frame. This is perfect specially for those who are visiting Hong Kong for the very first time. A must see and add on your itinerary. You can check this link if you wanted to specifically book this activity.
Early Evening – Star Ferry Across Victoria Harbour
As the city lights flickered to life, we capped our day with a ride on the Star Ferry, gliding across Victoria Harbour under the glittering skyline. It’s an iconic, affordable, and romantic way to see Hong Kong from the water — a relaxing finale to a packed itinerary.

Seeing skyscrapers reflect on the water, hearing the evening buzz of the city — the ferry ride shows another side of Hong Kong, intimate and reflective. It’s just the perfect activity to end the day.

What Worked (and What to Check)
What We Loved:
- Value & Variety: With one pass, we got a mix of city views, immersive attraction, and a classic harbour cruise.
- Easy & Hassle-Free: Digital QR codes, reservations via app — no need to queue for tickets or carry physical vouchers.
- Packed in a Day: For travelers with limited time — especially those doing a quick stopover — this combo made every moment count.
What to Double-Check:
- Attraction Status: Because Monopoly Dreams is a newer, niche attraction, always confirm it’s open before heading over. (Note: Monopoly Dreams Hong Kong will suspend operations from November 24, 2025.)
- Time Management: Start early — your Peak Tram visit and terrace trip takes time, and the ferry ride is best at sunset or right after for city lights.
- Reservation Requirement: Even with FunPASS, you may need to reserve slots for some activities.
Final Thoughts: Smart, Fun, and Versatile
If you’ve only got one day in Hong Kong but you don’t want to settle — the HONG KONG FunPASS Deluxe 3-in-1 is a smart choice. It gave us three very different experiences in one day, each showing a unique side of the city: skyline vistas, playful entertainment, and waterfront charm.
All you need is to plan ahead, activate the pass, and let the day unfold. For travelers who want to see a bit of everything — city, culture, fun, and skyline — this is one of the most efficient ways to do it.
