May 2019 – It’s about Making Time!

Making Time May 2019 Journal

May has been a very busy month, weighing both work, blogging and personal life. Add to that, my problems from last month (the car I accidentally bumped) has been added as well to the things I needed to worry.  My trips in Boracay, Baler and Taiwan was also included in my calendar, making me move my family trip to Bicol on to the next. But I am not complaining, its just that I realize, time is really something important for me nowadays.

Day 01 – Labor Day / 1st MCGI Multimedia Production Seminar

Big day today as I attended and also facilitated one of the biggest talk I did in my life. Speaking in front of a more than a thousand crowd, teaching them some of the learnings I gained of being in the production for more than 10 years.

The first ever MCGI Multimedia Production was held in La Verdad Christian College in Apalit Pampanga, It was attended by some of the production units coming from different parts of Luzon. The event was a two day event and I am tasked (along with my team) to teach basic Video Editing. I was hosted the event and facilitated some of the activities within this day.

MULTIMEDIA PRODUCTION SUMMIT

Day 02 – Day 2 of MPS

The second day of the Production Seminar started and on this day, I was able to focus on the video editing students. More than a hundred students attended my class and I was able to teach them some of the basics.

It was my first time teaching my profession and personally I did studied some of the terminologies first before this event happened. Even though I’ve been doing it for more than 10 years, I wasn’t really able to learn the theories behind the craft. I was partly self thought from just viewing and trying out the software.

Anyway, I had a wonderful time sharing to the class what I’ve known and I do hope they have learn something from what I have given.

Day 03 – Meeting up the Car Owner

Okay. I was both afraid and worried on what will happen today as I met up with the owner of the car I bump into last month. The feeling was truly horrible and it actually gave me a bit of a trauma, driving. Good thing, the owner of the car were nice enough to just let me shoulder the expenses for the repainting of the bump as well as changing the tail-light of their car.

Day 05 – G-Active Fit

G Active Event

It was fun bonding with Charlene today, as we join G-Active Fit activity in BGC. We were also able to meet a few people who were also tap as influencers on that day. Afterwards, I run my way back to QC to meet up with my friends DAX at Gerrys Grill, were we had a welcome celebration for Charm who have been living in Australia for quite a long time.

Day 06 – The Supposedly Meet-up with Kiko

Village Tavern BGC

The supposedly dinner with Kiko was turn into a local friends meet-up. Kiko forgot about the date and unintentionally stood up on us. So I ended u having dinner with Akioh, Rod and Charlene instead.

Day 07-09  First Boracay with DAX

Boracay Island

After waiting for a very long time and planning for this, finally the day has come where we all had the chance to travel together and stayed in Boracay for two nights.

Day 09 – Discovered a New Way to travel from the Airport

As soon as I arrived in NAIA, I decided to try the P2P ride going to Cubao. The prices of booking Grab on that moment was way too high from the regular price, hence, having an alternative is truly needed. After asking a few guards on where to find P2P, finally I was able to locate it at Terminal 3. It took us 1 1/2 or almost two hours drive before reaching Cubao due to horrific traffic.

Day 10 – Random Meet-up with Kiko

MEET UP WITH KIKO

After lunch, went back home to finish a few articles, then randomly had a meet-up with Kiko Cagayat for a dinner in Quezon City. Nag-effort po sya to really go to the north.

Day 12 – Escape Room Escapade

Left behind and Dennys

Day 13 – Election Day

Crucial moments for every Filipinos as the day of the much awaited election happened. The streets of EDSA were too slack I was able to arrive at home in Valenzuela for less than an hour. With my list already prepared days before the election I was able to vote quickly, except the long queuing at the precinct. I can actually say that my senatorial list was a mix of both sides.

After lunch, went back home to finish a few articles at home.

Day 14 – Time for a Haircut /ASUS Briefing / Aladdin Premier

Got a new haircut today, Finally! From Greenhills, I then went straight to ASUS building in Ortigas to attend the media briefing for our upcoming trip. After staying in few hours with Myke to work, I met up with Akioh in SM Megamall to watch the movie Aladdin. I was with Say’s family inside and Asher (Say’s son) were too clingy that he kept on going on my side the whole time.

Day 15 – Meeting at La Verdad

The first MCGI Multimedia Production Summit has been successful, even with so many glitches, I guess we were able to really pull it off nicely. And with the request of the students as well as the direction of our CEO, Kuya Daniel Razon, the team will be making two or three more rounds of seminar to better hone the skills of all the attendees. I, in particular will still be teaching some techniques in Video Editing.

Day 16 – Errands Day: Shoot for New PH / Mossimo Pull-out / Marshall Speakers Launch

NEW PH BY MEGA SHOOT

My long day started with a quick shoot for Mega’s New PH. Rod and I then had a quick photoshoot for ASUS right after. From Ortigas, I went to do a stroll around Glorieta and pick-up clothes for my upcoming trip at Mossimo. Being too early, I decided to walk from Glorietta to my next event in Saguijo for Marshall Speakers.

Dinner with Kuya Mike and Clint

After the long press event of Royal Air, I decided to stay in Makati and invited friends Clint and Mike to have dinner. Good thing they were both free. On the 21st, we were able to visit Dicasalarin Cove, while on the 22nd, which was our last day, we were surf!

Day 23 – My first Annual Physical Exam

Today was super epic fail! So, my company organizes this annual physical examination for all its employees. It was supposedly from May 22nd and 23rd but I can only visit on the 23rd.

So I wake up early, didnt took breakfast,(for fasting was needed for the examination) and went out really early.

I arrived at the clinic in Pampanga at around 9am, funny thing is, it was close!!!! Then I re-read the memo and learned that the session was to be held in Manila instead! The clinic was closed because all the staff were in Manila! Oh fail!

So I decided to just eat brunch, attended the early prayer meeting and go back to Manila to have my APE.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to finish all the sesh and I was told to a lot another day for the other exam.

Before leaving Taipei, Myke and I decided to visit MOCA Taipei;  it’s art appreciation day, I guess.

At 4pm, time for us to leave the country.

I arrive in Manila around 11pm. And had a really awful time trying to wait for the P2P buses at NAIA Terminal 2.

In the end, I decided to book a grab instead.
