The newest chicken craze is here offering crispy fried chicken along with other delectable comfort food you’ll sure love. Bird House Fried Chicken is soon to open (September 1, 2016) and is expected to attract diners with its deliciously crafted crispy fried chicken.

BIRD HOUSE AMBIANCE

Bird House Fried Chicken’s first branch is located at the 4th floor of Uptown Mall, The Food Hall in Taguig City. Bird House is well lit and very inviting and I really love how they easily manage to create a simple yet strikingly good logo. As the owner describes it, conceptualising the brand aesthetically took them some time for they really wanted to create a very instagrammable place. The first branch can accommodate more or less 40 to 60 heads that can be sited on either red or yellow chairs along with wooden tables that is perfect for groups of four or more.

The owners wanted the Salted Egg Chicken Lava Sandwich in black bun to be Bird House Fried Chicken’s flagship product the reason why they are really pushing for diners to taste it.

You also have the option to choose sides or sauces or even order an additional for a minimum amount.

New chicks in the house! @Birdhouseph sent this cute box with awesome sauces in Green Goddess, Peach Barbecue and Truffle Ketchup! Now my fried chicken doesnt need to settle with the usual gravy. Checkout #birdhouseph as they #frybirdfry and make fried chicken fun, fun, fun.

Bird House also wanted to highlight their sauces, which are available in peach bbq, green goddess, truffle ketchup, garlic ranch or milk gravy.

If ever you already tasted all the sauces, don’t you worry for the owners are planning to change or add additional variants each month. I wonder if they are planning to add a spicy one? I would love that!

I ordered Banyard D for I was extra hungry, with dirty rice for the sides and peach bbq for the sauce.

SERVICE

All the servers are wearing uniforms, though they were lacking nametags for easier recall. Upon deciding what to order, my food came in around 10 to 15 minutes. That was just fine considering that we ordered our food on a very busy hour.

WHAT NOGNOG HAS TO SAY …

The overall experience was just okay. The place is accessible and can easily be located in the mall, add to that the ambiance could easily attract food adventurers and diners. When it comes to service, I find that the servers are courteous and very attentive; I hope that this trait would be maintained as the restaurant grows. Though, I think they should wear nametags for better recall.

When it comes to food, the chicken were definitely tasty and crispy though I find it a bit salty that there are times that it overpowers the sauces. But considering that we dined on a soft opening, there is still a possibility for the taste to change. As we talked to the owner, they told us that they were considering of subsiding the salty taste and add a special salt upon customers request. I also suggested releasing a spicy flavored chicken, which they might do very soon (that makes me excited!)
