AJ Dee leads Turo Turo, an MMFF New Wave Entry for Indie Film

To tell you honestly, it was my first time to watch an indie film on the big screen. I’ve been wanting to attend the yearly Cinemalaya but for so many unexpected reasons, I wasn’t able to do so.

A few weeks ago, AJ Dee (thefilodapper.com) invited me over to watch his indie film, which later on has been included as one of the entry for this years MMFF in the New Wave – Indie Film category.

Titled as “Turo Turo“, AJ Dee leads the cast as the father of three who sells “fish-balls” on the streets. It’s an inspiring drama which tackles issues about illiteracy. No spoilers off course, but this movie is compose of scenes of miseries one after another. Blogger friends Yuki and Crissy were teary eyed watching the film. Me? I keep myself compose trying to critisize the film hahaha sorry Aj! (just to get away of being affected with the emotions).

But at the end film, I can say that this one is simple yet relatable. It can make you realize that there are alot of things to be thankfull for in our life. Turo Turo is directed by RayAn Dulay and other stars includes Albert Silos, Enchong Dee, Mosang and Janna Dominguez. This will run from Dec. 17 to 24, 2015 at the SM Megamall, Glorietta and Robinson’s Ermita cinemas.

Kudos to all the people behind the movie and to my friend AJ, who after the movie  we were teasing because of a the signature clothes his wearing in the film. Well thats how he grind as filodapper!
