Weekends at Puerto Nirvana, Puerto Galera

A lot of my friends usually tells me I’m everywhere, specially whenever they see my feed on social media. Well they can be right sometimes, but not always. “In a rush” is just the right phrase to describe my life in Manila, hopping to one place to another trying to beat the time. It’s a bit tiring, but for a single guy like me in the height of my age, this could still be tolerable.

A break to my routine is definitely needed once in a while. Recently I’ve visited Puerto Galera for the nth time. Puerto Nirvana hosted our stay over the weekends. The owner have planned different activities for us to try and I was too ecstatic to do it. It was my moment to escape Manila,  taking time really slow, breathing the cool air and really enjoying every moment.

Situated in the heart of tourism area of Puerto Galera, Puerto Nirvana is  just 300 meters away from the town proper. The resort promises serenity, natural ambience, warm and hospitable staff, sumptuous food and well designed rooms.

Had an amazing weekend with this crew! We Discovered new places, met new people, learned new things and most specially witness alot of #kiligmoments. Quoting #jackosparrow line “#Bongga!” Lol! @puertonirvana #PuertoGalera #galagalera

Other highlights of Puerto Nirvana

  • Panoramic view of Hondura Island Cove
  • Best view for the sunrise and full moon
  • During the summer season, the resort is constantly visited by the cool summer breeze
  • During the stormy season, the beach front is calm and serene. The beach is also very safe for swimming
  • The most accessible resort in Puerto Galera because it is situated along the National Highway

Puerto Nirvana was originally planned by the owners to be their rest house but over the years, seeing an opportunity to earn, they converted it to a well maintained resort working on the locations strength and adding up services that could make them stand out from the rest.

(How to go to Puerto Nirvana)

The Rooms

Puerto Nirvana rooms got a rustic and homey feels. You can choose from Standard, to Family rooms or dwell into their Suite room thats starts for Php 4,900 per night. My favourite room here in Puerto Nirvana is the room with the view.  It’s just too overwhelming to wake up every morning in this kind of room.

Amenities

Amenities is one of the first thing visitors are always looking for in a resort or hotel. Puerto Nirvana is not far behind. The resort got a restaurant they called Bistro by the Bay. I just love their pork dish. You can also find billiard tables, bar, a pool and other sports activity that you can try on.

Sir. Romy Roxas, the owner of the resort, are so nice we we’re invited to stay inside their beautiful house. We watch “White Chicks” and do some crazy stuff inside.

Team Building

One of the strenght of Puerto Nirvana is that they accommodate groups of people who would want to do team building and tours of the island. The resort have successfully merge the two element by doing well crafted games that would require teams to go around Puerto Galera, and have some extra time spent enjoying the wonderful God’s creation at the place.

When we visited the resort, we were able to see how they operate the Team Building. We can see how happy the teams were enjoying every minute of their stay doing activities and unravelling different wonders of Puerto Galera.

Exploring Puerto Galera

Inside Puerto Nirvana along with crazy blogger friends is definitely something to enjoy already, what more if we explore the hidden wonders of the Island.

Puerto Galera is not just about the White Beach, there are more other places that I could consider better visiting in this Island. Check out what are the other places we visited by visiting this link: Exploring Puerto Galera

It was a crazy weekend, I met new people, created new friends and had fun trying out different things under the sun (and rain too). Puerto Nirvana is definitely a place to be in enjoying the sun, taking it really slow, settling down and enjoying the moment. If only I could be here every weekend.
