Globe Telecom brings back the F1 rush with Slipstream 2.0

Country’s no. 1 mobile brand empowers the Filipino dream to conquer the global F1 stage

The country’s leading mobile brand Globe Telecom brings the Formula One rush to the Philippines once again as it presents Slipstream 2.0, an event celebrating the journey of Marlon Stockinger as the first and only Filipino to make his way into the competitive world of Formula One racing.

Slipstream 2.0 is happening this Saturday, June 27, at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City. From 12NN to 5PM, the public can enjoy driving exhibitions, motorcycle stunts, and car parade and exhibit. Marlon’s famous Lotus-Gravity Charouz Renault 3.5 car will also be on display for public viewing and photo opportunities. Marlon will be at the event to show his amazing driving skills, as well as to meet and greet the lucky winners of the Slipstream contest.

Apart from the event day’s activities, there will be pre-event gimmicks lined up for Marlon and everyone to enjoy.  Including Marlon’s take over to social media. Check out the schedules:

June 22, 2015, 4pm – Ask Marlon about anything on Twitter
June 23, 2015, 5pm – Chat with Marlon on Enjoy Globe Viber public chat
June 26, 2015 – A set of podcast sessions will also be released starting June 26 where Marlon will talk about his passion for racing, how he keeps in touch with his family, friends, and fans even if he’s always on the go.

Aside from activities for Marlon fans and both car and non-car enthusiasts, in the afternoon, there will be special guests from Anima Christi Center in Muntinlupa City. Anima Christi is a special school for children with learning challenges. Before the actual event opens, students from the school will be able to meet and greet Marlon, as well as spend some time with him playing parlor games and sharing meals. The children will also be given special access to the pit garage and Marlon’s car.
 
Note to all the Motorists: 

To give way to the exhibitions at the event, some roads will be closed from 12NN to 5PM. Roads included are the following: Rizal Drive, 3rd Avenue, 4th Avenue cor 28th Street, 4th Avenue cor 30th Street, 5th Avenue, 27th Street cor 3rd Avenue, and 31st Street cor 3rd Avenue.
