Communting Guide: How to go to Maginhawa Street, Quezon City

Maginhawa street in Quezon City is a fast rising star when it comes to the best go-to places for food tripping here in the Metro. The long street of Maginhawa has a vast collection of restaurants that could satisfy your cravings. Perfectly connected to its name (Maginhawa, an adjective which means convenient or comfortable), one should visit the place in ease.

Here’s how to go to Maginhawa Street in Quezon City.

Coming from North Edsa (SM North)

1. Ride a bus going to Quezon Avenue (Ilalim), go down at Mc Donalds, walk towards Quezon Avenue, ride a Jeep going to PHILCOA, Go down at PHILCOA, walk towards Mini-Stop, ride a Tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off to Maginhawa Street or to your target restaurant.

At present, as to how the restaurant owners in Maginhawa told me, there are no other way to reach the place without riding the tricycle. Thou if you want a more convenient way to visit the place, might as well bring a car but unfortunately some restaurants have problems with parking spaces. Or maybe, for a more convenient options, take a cab instead, use apps like Grab-A-Taxi, Easy Taxi or UBER for a more safer ride going to Maginhawa.

Will update this post when I got the chance to explore the other routes. Enjoy dining!

Until our next trip in the City!

Hi, Ive heard there’s an alternative route from Anonas Station to V luna Extension (SM savemore). Are there available tricycles from Anonas Street to take you to snack shack? It would be more time consuming for me if I take the Philcoa route. Thank you 🙂

  • […] There is a Big B signage outside the store which you’ll never missed if ever your passing by the street. Fronting the store was the smokey open cooking area where you can actually order directly for take outs or maybe lead your way inside to a more layback dining experience. • […] “Maginhawa” is a Filipino word which in english could mean “comfortable or convenient“, but for the people of Quezon City, this surpasses that definition. Maginhawa is not just a comfortable place for foodies but is a long street of sprouting holes-in-the-walls, stalls and food destination situated along Sikatuna Village in Quezon City. The long street and other interconnected streets there in has evolve from a quite neighborhood to a commercial place where residents, transforming a small portion of their place to small eateries, accommodate diners that started mostly students from the  nearby universities like UP, Ateneo and Miriam. Heres a simple guide on how to commute going to Maginhawa.  […]

I believe there’s a jeep going to Philcoa at the Trinoma Terminal. I just thought it’s easier from North Edsa instead of going to Q.Ave pa. Just a little help, if this does. 🙂

Yes there is. Meron din sa terminal mismo ng Sm North EDSA. You can ride a jeep going to SM fairview or U.P then drop off at Philcoa.. ?

          • Julius Deocadiz February 2, 2016

It is more convenient if we ride a jeep from SM North then drop off at Philcoa?
