It wasn’t too long ago since I’ve visited this sight at SM North EDSA the block. It was an italian restaurant before that was called Casa Italia (read: Having Gelato at Casa Italia). If you are a fan of the brand, do not be shock, for Casa Italia isn’t really gone, but instead the famous restaurant decided to create a new brand that would cater to the right market in the area.

How to make a Pistachio Gelato? Simple. Just place the 2 cups milk, 4 egg yolks and 1 cup heavy cream in a container. While it’s warming, place the 1/2 cup sugar and pinch of salt. Add 1/2 cup pistachio puree. Mix well. Process. Add 1 cup roasted pistachio nuts. Mix. Taste. Refrigerate. The process could be very straight forward but still creating a perfect Gelato depends on a lot of things. That includes ingredients. And having the best ingredient is what Carte D’Or is made of.

Is the word you’ll here as you enter Casa Italia, the modern day interpretation of the traditional Italian bar serving a wholesome menu of handcrafted premium gelato, freshly made food, Italian beers, and wine in a fast casual all-day dining setting. I’ve been seeing this restaurant located here in SM North the Block for quite a while but for the record, this would be the first time I would be dining in this restaurant. I’ve been hearing about it and my friends say they offer the best gelato ever, so I’m trilled to try it for my self.

Friends at the office who knew that I blog always have this notion that I already know almost everything about anything. Whenever they would be buying something online, they usually consult me. Whenever they are looking for a place to travel, they would try to get my opinion, even if the dining place they are suppose to go to, they would be asking for some food suggestion.
