A very important service yet neglected by many – Death Care Service

One service that probably important and yet being neglected by many is the death care service. I honestly could say that I’m guilty with this but luckily didn’t learn it the hard way. Death or dying could be a taboo conversation to many, but we should accept the fact that everyone is destined to deal with it. We will never know when will it happen, and it would be very unpleasant to be the ones left unprepared.

The St. Peter Group of Companies understands and knows this situation making “dead talks” (not the scary type) a bit lighter. Remember the famous pink casket? After all, St. Peter are DeathCare Experts, and they are the choice of every Filipino in the delivery of world-class DeathCare Services.

A few days ago, St. Peter invited us over to try one of the rooms at Breakout Philippines. Breakout Philippines (if you haven’t heard about it yet), is the country’s first and premier escape room game. St. Peter partnered with Breakout Philippines, to emphasise the need to plan ahead, not just for one’s memorial needs but all the time. (Check out another escape room I tried)

It was my second time playing here at Breakout, the first one was last year where we were able to play two rooms; Room 13 and the Limbo. This time we played Hide & Seek. I am actually excited to solve this one and felt a bit scared from the back story told about the place, but truthfully, I am more excited to see how my teammates will react inside the room. It is fun watching how each one reacts.

I wouldn’t be spoiling you about what had happened inside the room, but I can tell you that I super enjoyed it. That 45 minutes duration isn’t really long when you are inside the room. We were almost 100% on solving and escaping the room, if only we prayed earlier, lol!

The St. Peter DeathCare Week is a major Corporate Social Responsibility and Public Service Program of St. Peter Chapels that aims to promote awareness on DeathCare planning and preparation. Their 10th St. Peter DeathCare Week Celebration starts on October 27 and culminates on November 2 – Araw ng Patay each year. As they believe in this is the best time to be aware of DeathCare preparation and planning for such realities.

The gimmicks doesn’t end there, in this season the pink caskets will definitely catch your attention.

PINK CASKET DISPLAYS

The Standing Pink Casket replicas will be displayed at the St. Peter Tents in selected cemeteries nationwide during the St. Peter DeathCare Week. Cemetery-Goers and passersby can take photos inside the pink casket and enjoy this unique and free photo opportunity with their loved ones and friends. I was able to go in and take photo when we played at Breakout. At least now I know how would I look like inside the casket.

FREE PINK TRICYCLE RIDES

As part of St. Peter’s public service offerings, they also have commissioned tricycle drivers in selected areas nationwide to offer free tricycle rides for commuters going to the cemetery on October 31 and November 1, 2017. They have painted the tricycles in color pink, to keep the spirit light in the midst of Undas traffic.
