Cebu South Sidetrip: Tumalog Falls

tumalog falls (6 of 26)

Tumalog falls isn’t easy to go to, for before reaching the place you would need to do a long and tiring-hilly trek. The trek is as exciting as reaching the falls but going down is way easier than going up. Good thing the road going there was already cemented. Kuya Rey (our Habal-habal driver) did a great help in bringing us there. The habal-habal ride from the Whale Shark station took us 10-15 minutes only. Then trek for 20-30 minutes depending on your pace, of course.

Tumalog Falls is one of the most visited falls here in South of Cebu for its accessibility and as I saw it across google, I already felt something majestic about the place. The reason why I felt excited visiting the place. Here’s how it look like which I grabbed from adrenalineromance.com

Tumalog Falls

After the trek, my friend and I finally reach the falls. Looking at far, you’ll notice that there weren’t any water falling from it. It was unfortunate that we visited the place on a dry season that it doesn’t have much water to see. I was told by the locals that it didn’t rain for a while making the water from the mountain falls minute. It’s a different view compared to the ones we see online.

You’ll get to feel the water once you go nearer the falls. The water was cold as expected and felt like rainfall. The scene would be more than awesome if the water flows more rapid.

After the short visit I decided to go back to the hotel, have some breakfast and prep-up to leave the place. It was 11 in the morning when we decided to head outside and ride a bus heading to Cebu City. The trip took us 3-4 hours, giving us more time to roam around the City before heading straight to the airport at seven.

I decided to drop by at Marriot Hotel to meet a friend and have some coffee. Marriot was so nice to free up my merienda, I was suppose to try the buffet dinner but because of the traffic in Cebu, I decided to leave earlier to be at the airport on time. It feels good to hit my timeline and perfectly followed my itinerary. Check out my complete Oslob Adventure itinerary guide here.

Until our next discovery in the City!
