Rurouni Kenshin:Kyoto Inferno Red Carpet Experience and Asian Premier

Reminiscing 1998 (as I remembered it),  when I was still in high school who hurriedly goes home before dawn just to watch the cartoon series of Samurai X on TV.

Rurouni Kenshin - Main 1sheet

This chance of a lifetime opportunity to see the cast of the series comes alive shouldn’t be missed!  Definitely a dream come true not just for me but for the long time and new fans of the manga/anime series Rurouni Kenshin.

Maybe because of the warm acceptance of the first movie, cast and director of Rurouni Kenshin came here to the Philippines to promote the Asian sequel movie – Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno, that will open on August 20, 2014 across the Philippines. It will be then followed by “Rurouni Kenshin: The Legends Ends” on Sept 24, 2014. Both films are distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The red carpet event of the 2nd movie was held at SM Megamall, then followed by an exclusive Asian movie premier. I came at the event place quarter past five, just in time before the main casts arrival at the venue.

I spotted friend entrepreneur/host PJ Lanot giving away premier tickets and interviewing fans while we all waited for their arrival.

Camera’s and Phones started to raise up as the director and the cast was shown going down to their vehicles one by one. The crowd even goes wild when they see Takeru Satoh (kenshin Himura), Emi Takei (Kaoru Kamiya), Munetaka Aoki (Sanosuke Sagara) and director Keishi Otomo walks down the red carpet. The casts are very comfortable approaching and mingling with the fans, they took time signing autographs, waiving, interviews and selfies with the fans.

Some of the people i’ve overheard says that they are so very nice, entertaining as much as possible everyone who takes their attention.

Have you notice, Aoki is wearing slippers 🙂

I was a bit far, so this is just the best that I could took.

After taking some shots, I went up to cinema 9, where the cast will also be presented to the media. Btw Thanks to Fleishman Hillard and shout out to Ferdie Bondoy for the invites.

A short  Q and A interview was held before the special movie premier. Blogger friend Az (read his blog here), patiently transcribed some parts of the the whole interview.
