How to Destress when Working Remotely & Traveling

The idea of working remotely while traveling has always been something I’ve been wanting to do ever since I started blogging. I’ve been hearing stories from friends and fellow travel bloggers on how they have managed to do both at the same time. I find it a bit challenging especially if we talk about comfort zone and for someone who has been living with plants and pets at home.

From what I’ve learned the key to being a successful travel blogger was incorporating these 3 elements

  • time management,
  • proper budgeting
  • and right planning

If you have a plan but don’t have the right budget and time, doing so could be difficult. The same goes for the other two. That is why preparation is important especially if you wanted to travel while bringing work along with you.

Opportunity knocks on my door just recently when I was asked by my sister to visit them in the US. I decided to fly around January. It’s a good thing my boss at the office was okay with the setup of me doing my work remotely for I’ll be staying in America for 6 months.

After more than a month of staying in my sister’s house, I started my very first solo trip to New York City with the goal to visit the touristy places and meet up with old friends.

It wasn’t easy especially doing it on a weekday and bringing work along with the trip. I made sure that on each day I could be able to at least have 3 to 4 hours of work. Add to that, the fact that I should always be connected online whenever I go.

Sometimes I would go back to my apartment, feeling exhausted from the whole day of walking and jumping into different places. And you will feel that difficult to not work anymore due to exhaustion. Good thing I was able to manage my time properly and prepared myself during this kind of time. Sure thing, traveling in a wonderful city is fun, but bringing work with you could also be stressful.

Here are some quick tips on how to destress yourself when working remotely & traveling.

1.     Do the Reward System.  Eat your favorite food, or watch a Broadway show or a movie after you were able to finish your workload. It’s a good motivation for you to do both work and leisure at the same time.

2.     Set soothing music during train rides. Riding the train or bus could be your best time to rest up, so better stop scrolling instead listen to some soothing music.

3.     Schedule a working day in a new location. On my recent trip, I made sure that I have a day/s allocated for work only. To make it ideal, I put it on the bad weather days, a good excuse to just stay at the apartment or look for a coffee shop nearby to work.

4.     Lastly, do not forget your Vitamins. I personally love to drink Berroca.

Why Berroca???

Aside from that, it tastes good, I love the idea of how simple it is to prepare and I can alternate it with my regular glass of water. But what do Berroca do? Berroca is a vitamin and mineral supplement that helps me conquer Big Days. It’s an effervescent tablet – just drop it into a glass of water and let it fizz! One glass can already help me enhance my mental sharpness and supports my physical energy.

Berroca is also rich in B Vitamins, Ascorbic Acid, Calcium, magnesium, and zinc. And most of all, each tablet got zero sugar and is only 8 calories. You can also buy it in sachet and is available in Orange, Citrus, and mixed berries.

Berroca is available in all leading drugstores nationwide. Watch out for Berocca especially this 2022 follow them on social media pages and microsites to know more about this awesome news very soon.

Hope my tips help! Enjoy your work/travel adventures!
