Summer Ready? We are at CLUB PUNTA FUEGO

Club Punta Fuego started out as members-only private resort in Nasugbu, Batangas. Though it remains as an exclusive resort, the management eventually decided to cater more clientele by letting in family and friends of the member via an endorsement letter. Later on, they decided to open a few Casitas (Room) to the public via online booking.

If you’ve never been to this place, I guess scrolling down this article could somehow entice you to open that app and book for your next summer vacation.

Continue reading and will tell you more about my recent visit at Club Punta Fuego.

Club Punta Fuego Main Club 01

I’ve been hearing about Punta Fuego ever since I was kid. Mom usually tells me stories that they would sometimes go on a road trip to Nasugbu, Batangas to experience the beach life on that area. I grew up hearing things about that popular destination and luckily, a few days ago, I finally had visuals on what was told to me back then.

Summer ready? Are you!

Three to Four hours drive from Manila, we arrived in Punta Fuego early in the morning traversing Tagaytay via Nasugbu highway. It was a huge private property, with different rest houses in both modern and classy styles that somehow give me that Spanish vibe. Being totally ignorant about the place, I thought at first that we would be staying in one of those houses. Well, I was wrong, but what we had didn’t really disappoint me at all. Club Punta Fuego is divided into three areas: the Main Club in Peninsula de Punta Fuego, the Beach Club at Terrazas de Punta Fuego, and the Punta Fuego Yacht Club.

Me, smelling the breeze in Punta Fuego haha!

Our first destination was the Main Club in Peninsula de Punta Fuego. This is where the main lobby is located where guest are usually welcome first. From this point, you could already see the beautiful sea view, the greeneries as well as the huge infinity pool. But before we explore the area let’s go and do our check in first.

The Casitas at Club Punta Fuego

My very spacious room – #11C

We stayed in Room #11, which is the room nearest to the main road. Each Casitas is composed of three interconnected huge rooms that are actually perfect for big groups of friends and families. The space was also elevated giving a nice view of the garden. There is also an option to pick a Sunset View/ Sea View Rooms, which are the Casitas 1 to Casitas 5.

Rooms 11A, 11B, & 11C are separated with a door, so if you are a group of family or friends choosing an interconnected room will make your stay more fun!

Just like what I said, rooms are really spacious, with a nice terrace for the garden view. The huge glass window will actually make the room lit in the morning but the lack of lighting fixtures at night makes it a bit gloomy and dim. I guess adding more lampshades or additional accent light could do the trick.

One of the things that I really love in the room was the bathroom area. It was really spacious with huge mirrors and more than enough light coming from the glass wall panel. Aside from that the bathroom also got an open space / mini-garden that would make you feel like your taking a bath in the wild.

Main Club in Peninsula de Punta Fuego

The Main Club in Peninsula de Punta Fuego is where you would usually take more time on your stay at the property. Here you will find the main restaurant which is San Diego, you can also capped the night at the bar called T&C, have a quite and relaxing time at Spa Gazebo, play and be entertained at the game room, tennis and golf course, or just bask under the sun at the double infinity pool.

This is the view that will welcome you when you arrive at the property

If you felt the need to feel the beach on your feet, you can even go down the stairs straight at the beachfront, though I suggest reserving the beach experience on a better location – Beach Club at Terrazas de Punta Fuego.

Care for some T&C, cap the night here at the bar and try their delicious desserts

Indoor or sea view, San Diego restaurant will definitely satisfy your daily cravings.

Beach Club at Terrazas de Punta Fuego

The Beach Club at Terrazas de Punta Fuego is actually segmented into two called Upper Beach and Lower Beach. It is located a few minutes away from the main club via shuttle service, which you can simply request at the reception area. The Beach club is where you could do other fun stuff like snorkeling, diving, paddling and other fun activities. First let’s visit what it looks like at the upper beach.

The Upper Beach is not actually a beach but a more private space perfect for pool parties located at the upper side of the Beach Club. Here you can actually have a nice view of the lower beach.

The Upper Beach got a private pool and events hall club members can actually use. Though food or meals aren’t really encouraged to be brought at the area, Upper beach could be your desired place if you want a private space for you and your special someone.

The lower beach is quite the opposite of the upper beach, for it a place perfect for a more active individuals. Here you can enjoy the long sandy beachfront and do different water activities. I was able to try water paddling and also snorkeling. Some of my friends also had the chance to do banana boat; unfortunately, the jetski wasn’t available on our stay. Aside from those things, one of the best things you can do here is to go scuba diving. The Lower beach got a lot to offer in the underwater world thus, Club Punta Fuego partnered with Thalassa Water Sports and Diving Services to facilitate the different water activities at the resort.

You can also play golf at the lower beach

IL JARDINETO (ITALIAN RESTAURANT)

If you get tired and felt hungry, Il Jardineto is also located at the lower beach. Here you can enjoy a Mediterranean meal while dining in an open garden beside a family pool in front of the sea. Here you can order pasta’s, pizzas, burgers and salads. The food is a bit pricey but got huge servings and is tasty. Members of the Club who dined at Il Jardineto can also have 15% discount.

Punta Fuego Yacht Club

Well, Club members and residents definitely have a lavish lifestyle being able to afford the high priced property in Club Punta Fuego. That is why It didn’t really shocked me to see the gorgeous yacht line up at Punta Fuego Yacht Club. We weren’t able to ride one but the view at this place is enough for me to enjoy it.

Actually, if you are staying at Club Punta Fuego for more than a day, I recommend spending one afternoon here to witness the beautiful sunset hitting the beautiful skyline at the yacht club. You’ll not regret it. If you got a friend who owns one, a party at the yacht would be even better. (Also read: How I see Anilao, Batangas)

Club Punta Fuego Price Range

Checking it online, getting a room at Club Punta Fuego in an instant (I could say) is quite difficult. One would really need to book months in advance for rooms are really limited (Specially during summer). Just like what we were told, club members are prioritise in the booking hence making it a bit strenuous to book. But if you got lucky, price usually starts at Php 10,500 and up per night.
