Things to Consider when Booking for a Holiday Staycation (The Cirque Serviced Residences)

Who doesn’t love celebrations? Almost every month of the year we would find ourselves celebrating a moment, whether it be for birthdays, graduations, reunions, holidays and a lot more. I am always looking forward to these kinds of moments where memories are being created and shared with my love ones.

But one thing that most of the people hate about celebrations is the after party. I am not talking about the party where people, goes to a place and continue the celebration, what I am talking about is literally the after party situation or the mess that’s produced after the event took place. That’s an added problem to the before party preparation. And If you are hosting the party, well, you’ll probably be too busy managing everything at the event you wouldn’t be able to really enjoy it.

That is the reason why celebrating an occasion in a rented place or hotel room has now become an in thing. I myself favor to this idea. Just imagine the mess one celebration could create especially if I held it in my place. That could be a disaster. Also, having a really small space wouldn’t be an ideal venue for a party even for small circle of friends.

If you are already up for the idea, well, don’t rush on getting a room. There are things you would need to consider before booking a place. Check out the list that I created.

Find the Perfect Location – Location is really important specially if you live in the north and would be inviting friends from the south. It is always nice to find a place in between the areas where your guest would be coming. Aside from that remember that the area you would be picking should at least be away from traffic, easy to locate, commute friendly and/or with available parking spaces.

Consider the Space – Booking a space via Airbnb or Booking has been my go to app when finding a nice room. A good space for me would mean a place that can give me the necessary things I needed. If I am planning to just sleep and have movie nights with friends, a simple studio type room would be good. If I plan to have games, the room should have at least have a space or a living room; if I am planning to have cooked food, I would get a space that have a kitchen and basic appliances needed.

Look for Food Sources – A celebration wouldn’t be complete with out food. It is an important element that one should always consider as well. A rented space should at least be near to a market, or there should be restaurants or convenience store within the area for easy access.

Added Amenities – Of course, staying inside the room with your love ones could be fun, but going outside and trying the different amenities together would be on the next level. Consider the amenities that you could access if you are paying for a particular amount. The higher you pay the more you should get. Most of the time, renting a space would mean getting an access to the pool area, gym, playground or even spa. Make use of it not to go wasted.

There are other things you can actually consider when picking a location for your upcoming home party. Some rooms can accept more than a handful of people some are not. Some prohibits one for bringing pets or even making noises. But the lists that I created are those you would need basically.

Recently, one of my circle decided to do a yearend party and instead of doing it in one of our houses, we book a room at Cirque Serviced Residences in Quezon City. It wasn’t my first time visiting so I recommended the place to them and I took charge of everything. I realize that this place would be ideal for aside that it is within Quezon City; Cirque Serviced two-bedroom suite is suited for 4 heads but can already accommodate 6-10 people!

‘At home’ at The Cirque Serviced Residences

At home,’ this was the best phrase that I could describe Cirque Service Residences. Though my first staycation at the place was cut short due to our different activities, it was still a worthwhile stay specially when it was shared with fun friends and love ones.

On my return, I brought a different set of friends to celebrate my birthday/year end celebration. Cirque Service Residences isn’t too far from place but the community can already give me a different vibe that felt like I’m not here in the Philippines.

Located within Circulo Verde near Eastwood City in Quezon City, I rented 2 two-bedroom suites for my 2 sets of friends.

Each room here has Eco-carat tiles that transform the air quality so that it becomes as clean and breathable as that of a park. This gives all the guests the best rest and sleep in their Norwegian designed rooms. Actually this kind of vibes made me really want to stay longer and more often in this place. But of course that would not be possible without lots of money.

Anyhow, getting a room would also give you an access to different amenities and services and facilities;

  • Complimentary In room high speed internet access
  • Complimentary local calls
  • Daily replenishment of bottled water, bath amenities and toiletries
  • Daily housekeeping service
  • 24 Hour Guest Services
  • Laundry, pressing & dry cleaning services (subject to applicable charges)
  • Access to varied Hotel Facilities (Swimming Pools, Gyms, Gazebo, Children’s Playground)
  • Access to Industria Mall Establishments (Restaurants, banks, Coffee Shops, Virtual Offices, etc)

The Perfect Space for a Celebration

Just like what I’ve listed a while ago, the location, the space, the food access and added amenities are the things that I consider when I book the two-bedroom suites. It is actually perfect for a group of friends or a family unit. The huge 69-sqm suites have a balcony, dining area, and tea/coffee maker; important matter for a coffee lover like me.

It got a kitchen and a fridge for our food preparation and a laundry area that can be used if ever we decided to stay a bit longer. The space is very comfortable and clean. It is a quiet space that is near to supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, even bank and playground. Parking spaces is free when you booked a room, but make sure to get the pass first before heading at the parking. The check-in process was super smooth we were already inside the room after a few minutes.

We planed to cook a few dishes for dinner; luckily the cooking wasn’t assigned to me for I know it would be a disaster if I did. While everybody’s preparing, I made myself busy lining up movies we are going to watch later that night.

With friends JM, Anne, Chichay, Anne & Sheng who stayed at Room 14i; I on the other hand stayed at Room 15i. I got the space all for my self.

I also suggested to them to go around and try the different amenities in the hotel but because it was a bit raining, we decided to just do an early swim on the next day.

We just had a simple dinner, conversations and movie nights we truly enjoyed. Aside from that, we manage to have a celebration without worrying about the cleaning up the mess we made that night. Is it that awesome!

Considering that this room cost just around Php 8,000 per night (can even go down to Php 5,000), I could say that the space have provided more than what’s expected.  No wonder, The Cirque Service Residences is rated pretty high in Booking.com – 8.4+ to be exact.
