What’s new at Star City in Pasay City + Chippy Kada Bucket List Challenge

It has been a while since the last time I visited Star City. Even though it is a place that is very accessible in my area, grown up duties comes up first in my priority.

star city adventure (2 of 12)

Not until a few days ago, we finally able to allocate some time to visit the place. Tagging along Ruth, Gus and Rod, we decided to visit together Star City for the very first time. (The last time I visited Star City was 2012)

It was long day for me, coming from a trip in Bulacan and heading straight to Pasay City, but didn’t care much for I know I would be having a great time re-visiting the place again.

 Everwing moments.

It was a Sunday and we didn’t really thought about the bulk of people coming in. To save money, we bought our all-you-can-ride tickets via Metrodeal, which we avail for only Php 280 each. Not bad! But even though we manage to save money, we still need to fall in line to exchange the pass to real ticket. You’ll find a separate line at Star City if you also availed tickets online.

 Crowded on a Sunday.

Our plan was, if ever there would be long lines, we will prioritise rides that doesn’t have lines and/or line up to a ride that we really like.

The horror house “Gabi ng Lagim” section was our first destination. There wasn’t too many people lining up in this house so came in instantly. I was actually expecting more from what I’ve experience in here. I guess this section was particularly created to scare kids. I was expecting real (people) monsters waiting for us inside the house but most of the sections look like a diorama.

And because we are talking about this famous Radio Drama;

Here is my short stint I did before where I played Nestor at the popular ‘Gabi ng Lagim’ radio show.

Next was the time travelling house. It was like a historical journey with sections showing how human improves to what is it now. I guess this would be fun educational tour for kids.

Afterwards we decided to really ride a ride. We fall in line at Surfs Dance. Even though I am felling giddy on riding the Roller Coaster, the long line there will really take most of our time. It’s a nice decision we decided to do Surfs up for even there is a long line, this ride can accommodate more than 40 people in one ride.

Actually we haven’t really used the ride-all-you-can tickets for we only manage to ride a few. We decided to do the bump car but eventually the operation was cut from a malfunction.

With Ruth, Rod, Eric and Gus

We also played some games from the area where it looks like an upgraded “Perya” style coin throwing game. I actually do not know what section is this called but it was sure fun.

 We did not win any.

What’s new at Star City?

Star City opened a new section at the east side, at the back of the Surf Dance ride. It was an extension where they placed at least more than 5 new rides that includes the grand carousel.

They also put up a new attraction called the Upside Down Museum, which is located at the back of Star City. Entrance fee is sold separately

P.S. Starting June 16, 2017, Star City is only open from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 2PM onwards. Check out their Facebook page to be updated with the schedule.
