The half of my May story was mostly about catching up with friends, meeting new people, attending events, new opportunities and as the title said it unexpected things that happen.

May 16, 2017 (Tuesday) Hawaiian Overload

greenwich hawaiian overload (2 of 3)

Today’s adventure took me to ‘The Aloha’ country as I attended Greenwich Hawaiian Overload event held at Bonifacio Stop Over branch. Hawaiian Pizza has always been my go to flavor whenever I visit a pizza house. It may be a question to a lot of people why there are pineapples on a pizza, but for me, why not!? I just love it.

So I strut my aloha inspired outfit and enjoyed the unlimited Greenwich Hawaiian Overload pizza at the venue. We also had the chance to witness how pizza is created as the guest chef did a demo on how it’s done. And when we were group for a quiz bee, my team soared high and won the challenge. Good Job guys!

Ruth and I also got a chance to bond with Seph and Trice. We got ice cream and yogurt session at BLK 513 at SM North EDSA.

  • Highlights: Catching up with Seph and Trice.
  • Lowlight: It was too hot to even go out.

May 17, 2017 (Wednesday) Making the most of the day

I wasn’t supposed to go out today early but Rod enticed me to attend telling me that I was being asked and was expected to be there. So I hurriedly took a bath, prepared my stuff and took an Uber ride to Marco Polo.

The event today was the launch of Converge, it’s a fiber optic net connection. Check out this link for more info.

The event finished around 1pm. Along with blogger friends, we head straight to Starbucks 6750. We stayed there and work for more than an hour. I was even able to deliver a package as well. It was a productive day.

Around 4:30pm, I decided to hop to Shangri-la Hotel Makati, which is located just across Starbucks. Bloggers, influences and celebrities attended the 70th year of Cetaphil.

You can check out Cetaphil link here. After the event, Ruth invited us to meet her sister, mom and niece. Then we decided to have some ice cream at Jollibee.

Keeping my Summer cooler with @jollibee Halo-Halo Sundae! How about you whats keeping cooler? #jollibeesummertreats #tasteofsummer #sundae #icecream #summerthreats #summer

May 18, 2017 (Thursday) Evening Cookout!

I was given a deadline by Jaffy to finish the inflatable Island vlog at least on Friday. I was too far from finishing it so I decided to cancel all of my events for this day, except the Tefal cookware event.

The Tefal Cookwares Summer Cooking experience features renowned culinary ambassadors – Tefal Resident Chef Deejay Santos, Chef Portia Baluyot of Rustic Mornings by Isabelo, and Chef Miko Aspiras of Le Petit Souffle – who shared how one can put together a winning party in half the time and less stress.

  • Highlights: I was able to meet the marketing manager of Rustans who were affiliated before with Toms, she remembers me.
  • Lowlight: I felt a big of a loner at the table after learning that I don’t really know much of the people invited at the event.

May 19, 2017 (Friday) Net Connection Failure

I finally uploaded the Inflatable Island video today. It was hell of an effort but fun. I decided to hang out at Landmark for it was one of the best places in QC that isn’t too madamot when it comes to net connection. Thou, one can only use it for an hour but it was okay. So after finishing the Vlog, I decided to go to the mall and started to upload the video, that was around 8pm already. I didn’t know that it would take that long. The video that I was about to upload was more than 1 gig and funny that I was just there sitting for more than an hour till one-by-one all the stalls in front of me were closing.

So, it was almost 80 percent and must decide whether to stay or look for another source of net connection. My options were, one, go to the cinema area and tell the guards that I’ll be watching the last full show; two, go to UNTV to upload and work even I don’t have work today.

I tried going to the cinema first, but unfortunately the connection went lost, needing me to redo everything.  So I decided to do the latter option.

I came at the office and found my officemate sleeping. My plan was to just sneak, upload and go out. But then again, my conscience got me so I decided to do a few articles while waiting for the video to upload. I finished it before midnight, just in time before the deadline. Yes!

Anyway, here is what I am talking about. Hope you will learn something and enjoy it. Thanks guys! I know you’re going to subscribe –> HERE

May 20, 2017 (Saturday) Ayala Malls to SM MOA

Just a quick round up of today’s event;

Attended Billboard PH Playsound #BBPHPLAYSOUND and it was a complete throwback as I visited different stations and listen to the top hits from different era. Of course ’90s would be my favorite. Then I went straight to SM MOA to meet up with John and attend the special advance screening of Pirates of the Carribean courtesy of SM Lifestyle. I was with Duane, Kumagcow, MJ and John.

May 21, 2017 (Sunday) Mall Tour at SM City Rosario Cavite

I’m back at SM City Rosario again and this time I was with Jem Cubil and Barbie Forteza.

  • Highlights: I was able to meet Jem Cubil today and I hosted a BNY mall event again.
  • Lowlight: Barbie came in very late making the event start for almost past 6. We were there since 3pm.

May 22, 2017 (Monday) Mondays Made Better

Made my Mondays even better with an Ice Blended drink for only Php 100. It was a campaign/promo of CBTL for the whole month of May until June 5. And of course I wouldn’t let the whole month pass with out me trying it. So I tag along my friends and treated everyone with a cup of coffee.

Hope they would extend this till next month. Do follow CBTL on social media to be updated on the upcoming-featured beverage.

May 23, 2017 (Tuesday) Lunch with Fam Bam

After attending the church, Mom and dad went to QC to meet up with me. So I decided to threat them at Greenwich. On the next day (Wednesday) blogger friends visited The Eugenio Lopez Center in Antipolo Rizal.

Knockdown! Check out the full story here

May 25, 2017 (Thursday) Shoes, Shoes and lots of Shoes

Playground Premier Outlet opened its newly expanded store in Marikina and I was lucky enough to be invited. It was a small event attended by Celebrities, Influencers, Media and bloggers. The highlight of the day was when I was able to shop 3 shoes for a very affordable price. Check out the full story here.

I also met Neil Perez, who was a popular icon of the PNP and Joddily Pendre, who competed for Asia’s Next Top Model (I’m a fan) at the event. Say Alonzo was also there who decided to buy shoes on some other day for her husband instead. She was too nice to let me ride with her and drop me off near my place.

On the next day (May 26, 2017), I along with my friend, Myka Cloma, who was a big fan of Kim Soo Hyun, attended the Samsung QLED TV launch in Okada Manila.

May 27, 2017 (Saturday) How a small mistake can ruin everything

Today was a very long day for me, like literally starting the day early and ending it up too early for the next day.

My day started with an hour and a half schedule in our church located in Munoz, Quezon City. Afterwards, I head straight to BGC for an afternoon schedule with my new Magnitude Family. It was raining already and I was running late, add up the situation of visiting a new place you still figuring out how to get to it. I arrive at their newly furnished office 35 minutes late to our 1pm call time. They were starting already. There were 5 influencers when I arrive plus 6 other people from Magnitude that includes Calvin (the one who contacted me), Tim (one of the heads of Machine), KBoo (one who is task to document everything) and Clement (the guy behind this newly organize business platform). It seems that I was the oldest in the group and I confirmed it when everybody was given a chance to introduce our self. There was a magician, a fitness instructor, a fashion designer, app developer and mostly are bloggers. It was a varied bunch. I’m very hopeful that this new venture could give me more than what I expected in the future and I am actually excited as well to meet more people soon.

From 34th street, I walked my way to Manila House to mingle with Solenn Huesaff and Nanette Medved-Po as they launch Hope in a Shirt project. I actually felt a little stunned sitting and talking to them but I tried my best to be composed and chat how the usual people do, after all they are also human, right? Thou I wasn’t able to introduce my self properly; I think I’ve enjoy every bits of conversation and could actually say I’m “rubbing elbows” with the stars!

At around 5:30 pm, Ruth and I decided to book a ride to Glorietta. My team was already there since 3 pm for event coverage. When we arrived, I was surprised to know that the host of the event was my friend, Say Alonzo, while Jem Cubil was the special guest of the event. Early that day, I was tagging Jem to join me at the Manila X concert, unfortunately, he declined for a particular gig which I only know later was the same as mine. Check out our SDE project.

We were too ready to go to Manila X event in Circuit Makati and ask Rod to fetch us at Glorietta 4. We even saw James and Nadine shopping, well we were just fanning at a far. When ‘UBER driver’ Rod arrives, we drove to his house to leave our things before heading to the venue. But an expected moment happened; it rained.

We were stuck at Rod’s house, thou we really wanted to go, we felt too lazy to go out and be wet in the rain. I most especially because I don’t want my newly bought shoes to get wet, lol! (I wore the ones I bought at Playground) But I bet the event was awesome specially when I checked the hashtag #ManilaX2017 I felt envy to those who came. I really like to see Bamboo, KZ Tandingan and William Singe perform, maybe next time.

Nevertheless, #RuRoRo got an awesome conversation about rants, social media and photoshoot plans over a cup of noodles at Chowking. It was a productive day I could say.

12:30am Just when I thought I could be able to sleep and rest, I realised that I left my keys at home! Damn! I was stuck outside while it rain hard. I’m living in a Townhouse where there are neighbours you needed to get a long with pretty well, and noise at night would be a no-no!

I tried calling my housemates, but unfortunately those who I contacted went to their permanent home while the rest were sleeping already. Knocking at the door didn’t do me good, so I decided to go out and check out the doorbell. And when I got out, I realized I can’t remember our doorbell number, there were just a bunch of names and switches that a simple mistake could cost chaos!

So I decided to stay at the door, and thought that whenever there’s a housemate who woke up early he could see me there lying.

I tried watching Netflix to kill time, when I felt my stomach crumbling. Waaaahhh I need to do #2. I went out of the village, and decided to look for a place to stay, maybe a restaurant or if all else fails, Mc Donalds, which is around 2 km away from my place.

I went first to Kowloon House but felt that the place was a bit dark and kind of like a beer house. Across the street, I saw Coffee Belle, I wasn’t wearing any eyeglasses then so I really wasn’t able to check if they are still accepting clients. It was 2 in the morning. There were groups of people outside and few inside the coffee shop, mostly looks like they were reviewing or something. In my head, reviewing at 2am??? Really? Then some flashes in my head of some scenes in a cult movie where all the people inside knew each other and I was the outsider lol! And then there would be chaos and I’d go running away and everyone chases me blah blah blah. I guess too much Netflix made me think of those things.

My gameplan was to buy a coffee and use the comfort room. I went straight to the counter, check the menu and wait for the crew to arrive. I ordered, used the comfort room and settled. The place was a bit old, a bit shabby actually but I guess it’s the most decent place to stay compare to our front door. I watch Black Mirror on Netflix and waited till its 5am. Luckily, one of my housemates woke up early and message me that I he can open the door now.

I was supposed to attend a convention by 6:30 am but it was 5:12 am when I finally got home. So, Good night! Btw, found the keys in my drawer.

  • Highlights: It was a very productive day and I was able to achieve today’s goals.
  • Lowlight: Oh keys! Why are you lost!

May 29-31, 2017 Random

Rounding up the month by attending Ping Pong Diplomacy event in SM Aura, having breakfast with Quaker Oats and catching up with Wil Dasovich, Exploring the street foods at SM MOA concert grounds for the World Street Food event.
