If your a fan of koreanovelas, K-POP artists, Korean Languages perhaps? or even just the cartoon characters like Pucca and Porroro? Well, you’ll definitely be excited to know this place I’ve visited recently. I think some of you have heard about the Korean Cultural Center here in Manila? if not? well, good for you for visiting my blogsite.

Here it goes …

KOREAN CULTURE CENTER MANILA (21 of 25)

The Korean Cultural Center (KCC) in the Philippines is the 20th Korean Cultural Center around the world and operates both under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines.

KCC’s main goal is to promote the Korean Culture to the Filipinos through different programs, event and other projects that it offers. Opening its doors to public last July 2011, KCC envisions that a wider range of Filipinos will be able to enjoy Korean culture as it strives to foster a stronger cultural exchange between the two countries.

KCC’s Cooking Classes students

One who would paid a visit and/or decide to study would have a great chance to enjoy and experience KCC’s interactive space, and i’ll tell you, you’ll learn more beyond ‘kimchi’ making or ‘koreanovelas’.  In  the central exhibition area there are various works of Korean artists displayed as well as a library that carries a 2500 media and book titles which include Korean literature, films and TV series.

You can also learn Korean dances and Taekwando held at the multi-purpose area dubbed as the  “Hallyu Hall,” special events such as film screenings, demonstrations and special performances are also held here in the place.

Aside from those I’ve mention, learning Korean language would still be on the top of the list, you can also learn here how to play traditional flute, traditional music and dance as well as learning different Korean specialty through KCC’s cooking classes.
