Two Dinners in One Night – Soi Eat Thai and Mangan Restaurant

Mangan Restaurant and SOI Thai food hopping!

It is very unexpected for me to eat dinner after another dinner. Well usually one could be considered an appetiser to another but what happened a few weeks ago isn’t like that.  Aside from being thrifty, I wouldn’t consider doing a food hop from one place to another specially if I’m already full? But I wouldn’t mind doing it specially if some friend will tag me along and pay for all the expenses.

A few weeks ago, we did a back-to-back smorgasbord of delicious offering from two famous restaurants – SOI and Mangan. They serve us, what I can say, their best dishes for the month. Let’s begin and go to Thailand first.

SOI Eat Thai, Love Thai

Bringing that same Thai experience through food, Soi Eat Thai can be considered a haven to Thai cuisine enthusiasts. With its Thai-inspired interior and SOI’s casual full-service restaurant that offers a broad line of more than 70 quality Thai cuisines, you can never go wrong deciding which food to order first.

So what did we had on our dinner number 1!

I just love how aromatic and exotic the flavors and spices of Thai Cuisine. And the texture is really far different from our local food. I enjoyed the Tom Yam so much that i’ve almost wanted to eat the whole bowl alone. The Pad Thai Shrimp is enticingly delicious and the crispy catfish with mango salad is something not to be missed.

On our second dinner we enjoyed the uniqueness of Kapampangan cuisine at Mangan Restaurant. I was already full from our Soi Eat Thai dinner but once the food at Mangan was serve, we weren’t able to help it! Even I’ve tasted different cuisines from different coutnries ‘Iba pa din talaga ang lutong Pinoy!’

Mangan which means “Let’s eat”, is a kind of restaurant that I would want to go into if I’m looking for a lutong bahay kind of serving. This month, Mangan is highlighting the “Piyesta ng Pata” which is a collection of Pata cooked in different style.
