My January 2017 was full of revelations, road trips and music! I was able to be part of the grandest music award, sung a popular hit song on a stage and was able to watched a musical play, dance to the sound of Guetta, did some adult stuff and a lot more. All of that happen in the quick month of January 2017!

Gahh!!! And its already February and I’m kind of feeling the rush of finishing a lot of deadlines today. Nevertheless, It felt nice to finally got the time to write and finish this article.  I am feeling the need to take note everything for these moments might slip my mind. Let’s start at day 2.

01-02-17 RoadTrip to Antipolo, Rizal

TRIP TO CLOUD 9 (3 of 6)

With Eddie, Ruthie and Gussy

Second day of the year, the gang decided to do an instant road trip to Antipolo, Rizal. With an original plan to visit Pachem Eco Park in Assumption Antipolo, we ended up watching the overlooking scenic view at Cloud 9.

We had Sinigang, Crispy pusit and Lumpiang Shanghai for lunch and tried crossing the famous bridge towards the 360 view at Cloud 9.  Afterwards we head straight to Paradiso Escondido which was a resort owned by my friend Gus Villa.

We just chilled, settled down, had some Laing which was prepared by my parents and did some videoke sesh. It was an amazing whole day spent with  Ruth, Gus and Edward. To more of this please!

01-06-17 Smart x David Guetta

David Guetta x Smart

I’m feeling lucky this day for I won two tickets for David Guetta Concert here in Manila. I know, I know, you might be wondering, how a Tito of Manila could be able to get a ticket? Well, just what I told you, I’m just lucky for I won the tickets from Sun/Smart.

Smart david guetta

I’m not really a fun of Guetta, but surely I did like a lot of his mix. There was (as I remember) a part of my life where I’ve been too addicted listening to his hits.

I decided to tag along, of course, Ruth for this concert. John and his friend was also attending making it even more fun. Funny that our tickets was supposed to be at the Upper Box but it was upgraded to Standing VIP. lol! But being a Tito, It felt better to have the option to sit down which one can do at the upper box.

Smart david guetta

Anyway, thanks Smart for the chance to be seen at this concert!

Fit Kitchen was too generous to give me a month long supply of food in 1500 calories. It wasn’t my  first time to try one but it was something I look forward too for its far the longest and the yummiest calorie-counted food delivery service i’ve tasted.

01-09-17 Business Registration at DTI

I’ve been longing to put up my very own business. It was along time dream and even I’m still hesitant I said to my self that if I do some steps nothing would really work. So, I finally decided to head on to the nearest Department of Trade and Industry to register a company name. I’ll be working with my two buddies, Jesli and Joel, putting up an events management and planning team. I can say that I’m a still a newbie in this department but eventually will get the hang of it once client starts to file up.

DTI Registration

It wasn’t that hard to register a business name via DTI, what you just need to have are substitute names to try on if the first choice was already taken, which happened to me. Good thing my second choice was approved. There wasn’t a long line nor long waiting. But the payment which you should do at an SM Bills payment is a different story. I think the line took me for an hour or two before my papers have been tend too. Will create a separate post on my business registration experience really soon.

01-14-17 The Night at Jaffy Gotauco’s Birthday Party

vita coco jaffy

With Charles, Nick, Jaffy and Jeff

Met Jaffy for the first time last year when Yuki invited me over to an unplanned trip to La Union along with Rhea and Nesi, who I also first me same as Jaffy (Read: La Union Wave Riders). Since then I’ve known Jaffy little by little, from being part of the marketing team for Vita Coco, to a guy who knows how to talk and blend in to the crowd, and to a guy who seems to know how to do the pa-simplex in an odd way.

Lucky enough to be part of his circle, he invited me over to a simple dinner in his house to celebrate in advance his Nth birthday. There, I’ve met some of his High School friends as well as his family. It was a fun night of burgers, barbecues, pool and chitchat.

Hopefully, Jaffy enjoyed the night as much as we did.

Luckily, DJ Alice made me plus 1, making me able to seat at the VIP table next to the artists and hosts. I was able to meet Gretchen Ho and Alex Diaz at the event and captured some amazing moments from the artists.

01-20-17 Voyager & Paymaya 2017 Kick-off Party

paymaya kick off party (3 of 3)

I know most of us have dreamt of becoming a vocalist in a band even just for a moment.  Voyager made that happen to me a few days ago when they invited me over for a Rockeoke night event held at Skinny Mike in BGC. I performed in front of the crowd of about 100 singing two classic songs ‘Hinahanap hanap kita’ by Rivermaya and ‘The Hurt’ by Kalapana.

The event was a kick-off party preferrec by Voyager/Paymaya for all their blogger friends.

Hinahanap hanap kita-ahh-ahh-ahh ??? Pag-bigyan na guys! Hahaha | Thanks @paymaya_official

01-21-17 Revelation Night at Linden Suites

rodel flordeliz recent photo

Thanks Duane Bacon for this shot!

The Linden Suites gave us so much love by allowing the gang to be house at their penthouse suite for a night. (Also: My First time at Linden Suites) The penthouse got three big bedrooms, a huge entertainment area, a separate kitchen, bar, laundry area, walk-in closet and a dining area. So what happened at Linden? Well it was a night full of revelations, photoshoots and 2 minutes+ hot seat challenge. The night ended at five, woke up before ten for breakfast and the rest could be (as they say) part of our history (thou most of what was spilled out should be left on that four walls).

eco waste event in qc memorial circle (13 of 15)

The best way to really deliver a message is by exposing it to your target and this is what the organizer of the Environment Summit did.  Held last January 26 to 29 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle, The Environment Summit aims to shed light on environmental and ecological issues that disrupt the processes of Mother Nature and the creatures living within it. In light of the celebration of the Waste Management Act Anniversary and the Zero Waste month every January, the summit seeks to educate the public on the destruction of the environment and what they can do to help alleviate this situation.

I think the last time I played an online multiplayer game was like 10 years ago and I was very hesitant when I was invited to play the game at the said event along with other bloggers.  This event serves as a take-off point for introducing Lenovo’s newest sub-brand of gaming PC’s called Lenovo Legion – with the variety of laptops such as the Lenovo Legion Y520 the Ideapad Y910; and desktops like the IdeaCenter Y710 Cube. The new gaming sub-brand offers gamers powerful gaming devices and community engagement. It’s a user experience designed around what they-re passionate about – the most immersive gaming experiences.

By the way, the bloggers won at the open match! Galing!

01-30-17 Care Divas, from Israel with love!

Care Divas

PETA never fail to impress me. And with this latest revival piece “Care Divas” just made me realize how I missed my theater days so much. I was able to watch this newest offering from PETA a few days ago with my friend, Edward. I felt a bit cultured that day, watching Care Divas and also thinking about watching Rizal at CCP. Care Divas is such a touching piece about 5 transgender Overseas Filipino Workers in Israel who work as care givers in the morning and transform into glamorous drag queen performers at night. Some scene will make you realized how difficult it is to live in a foreign land as well as how Filipinos create a community to help each other.
